🏌️‍♂️ JUNIOR GOLF COACHING — NEW SPACES AVAILABLE! ⛳️

We’re opening up additional spaces in our popular weekly junior coaching classes at Dullatur Golf Club, starting the week of 28 September.

Our autumn and winter coaching blocks are the perfect opportunity for juniors to develop their technique, build confidence and prepare for a successful season next year.

Sessions include:

⛳️ Fun TrackMan games
🏌️ Technical coaching
🎯 Skill-based challenges
🙌 Coaching for all abilities—from complete beginners to experienced junior golfers

Classes run weekly in eight-week blocks and cost £80 per block.

Spaces are limited, so please send me a message with your junior’s age, experience level and preferred day or time to enquire.

⛳ Essential Greens Maintenance ⛳️

This week, the greens team have been carrying out solid-tine aeration across the greens.

This essential work helps to relieve soil compaction, improve air and water movement through the rootzone, strengthen plant health and reduce surface tension.

The process causes very little disruption and, once the greens have been cut and rolled, there will be no noticeable difference to the roll of the ball.

Regular aeration plays an important part in maintaining healthy, firm and consistently performing putting surfaces throughout the season.

🌱 Thank A Greenkeeper Day 🌱

Today, we’re taking the opportunity to recognise and thank the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our courses in the best possible condition.

Our Course Manager, Richard Bell, and Deputy Course Manager, Alan Provan, have over 35 years of combined service at the club. Their knowledge of the courses is second to none, and their pride in what they do is clear in every detail.

Keeping our playing surfaces at their best is no easy task, particularly when faced with the ever-changing Scottish weather! ⛳️🌧️☀️

Richard, Alan and the entire greenkeeping team put in countless hours to ensure our members can enjoy the best possible playing conditions throughout the year.

Thank you, Richard, Alan and the whole greenkeeping team — your hard work, dedication and commitment are hugely appreciated.

Team Updates

It was a busy weekend for Dullatur, with 5 teams in action and plenty to celebrate!

JJ McCarry: A fantastic 3–1 home victory over Milngavie on Friday night. A particular highlight was Mason’s impressive 9&8 victory. With one game remaining, we’re still in with a great chance of retaining our title!

McIntyre League: A great away victory against Dumbarton in the quarter-final sees the team safely through to the semi-finals. Well done, everyone!

Ladies Neidpath: The team are currently sitting second in the league, with just one game remaining. One point at Glenbervie will be enough to secure the league title. Best of luck!

Past Captains: won a very tight semi final away to Lenzie, 3 up in the Andra Kirkaldy trophy taking them into the final for the first time.

Junior Sixes: Our Juniors finished their league campaign at home as runners-up. We also welcomed 39 Juniors from 4 other clubs to Carrickstone yesterday, making it a fantastic day to finish off the league.

It’s especially brilliant to see the growth in our Junior squad. Last year, we struggled to field a team of 6, while this year we had 18 players in the squad! A fantastic achievement and a great sign for the future of Dullatur.

Well done to everyone who played, supported and helped make it such a successful weekend!

Last weekend The Dullatur Donald Cameron team finished second in the A league just behind the winners Glasgow!

Course Update ⛳️

This week, the Greens Team have been raising sprinkler heads on the Antonine Course around the greens.

Over time, with the regular application of topdressing, the green surfaces naturally rise ever so slightly year on year. Raising the sprinkler heads allows us to maintain the correct irrigation coverage and ensure the water is reaching exactly where we need it to. ⛳️

On the Carrickstone Course, the fairways have received an application of nitrogen, iron and Primo Maxx. This will help improve turf health, colour and overall appearance, creating stronger, healthier fairways for the remainder of the season and into the winter months. 🌱

The fertiliser applied to the greens last week has now been fully taken up by the plant, and the greens are once again looking extremely strong. They’re in great shape and ready to continue performing to the high standards expected as we head into the back end of the golfing season. 👌🏻
