With England going through last night, we have pushed the start time of Sunday’s tournament by an hour to 9:30 arrival for 10:30 first KO.

Difficult morning this morning having to move the game with an hours notice and a few no shows leading to a 10 man squad. In great spirit Spraire let us borrow Martin to play midfield and we appreciate the shift he put in and Spraire for allowing us to borrow a player.

A 3-1 win followed, with an OG, Josh Walshaw and Sam Thompson on the scoresheet for our first friendly.

Focus shifts to the Chris Greaves & Andy Blair Memorial Day with 2 Spartans teams taking to the field.

On Sunday 12th July, we are hosting the Chris Greaves & Andy Blair Memorial Day raising funds for Mind and Cancer Research UK. We are looking for generous businesses to donate raffle prizes to help us sell tickets on the day.

We will be once again hosting the third annual Chris Greaves & Andy Blair Memorial Day at Longfield Academy.

This year, we will be raising funds for Mind and Cancer Research UK in commemoration of Chris and Andy, whose sons still play a huge part of Darlington Spartans.

The football tournament has expanded this year, and we will be putting even more on around the grounds to keep spectators occupied.

We are once again looking for generous businesses to sponsor the tournament at £50, please get in touch if you’d like to get involved in a special day!
