Race report from final East Fortune🏁
Absolute nightmare on Saturday. Still finding niggling issues with the bike following my big smash at Aberdare - this time we had issues with front spindle meaning we had to change over the whole front end of the bike at the track but meant I could only set 1 lap in sound of thunder and missed supersport qualifying and race 1.
Eventually got things sorted only to realise the disks on the bike were warped, massively impacting my confidence on the brakes so it was damage limitation until we managed to get things sorted for Sundays races where things were back to normal.
Q SoT - 14/29
Q Supersport - 27/27
SoT races: R1 - P6 (P3 in class)
R2 - P6 (P4 in class)
R3 - P3 (P3 in class) my first overall podium 😁
R4 - P3 (P3 in class)
Supersport races: R1 - DNS
R2 - P14 (P7 in class)
R3 - P14 (P7 in class)
R4 - P9 (P3 in class)
Unfortunately at East Fortune, your qualifying position is set for the full weekend so every race I had to be on it from lights out. I did actually enjoy the challenge and it has taught me a lot about mindset at the start of races - something that I’ll be able to carry on from here.
Overall a very positive meeting, 2 overall podiums and another PB of 1:03.1 leaves me feeling very confident and looking forward to Knockhill in a fortnight - the last race of the season.
Massive thanks again to everyone who helps me out.
