With the new season just around the corner, we’re looking to add a Sports Therapist / Physiotherapist to support our 2nd & 3rd XV.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a university or college student, or anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in senior rugby while building their portfolio alongside an experienced medical team.

In a great first run-out for both teams in the Headland sunshine, Mowden moved the ball wide with pace, while a much more direct BBOB side made for an entertaining contest between two contrasting styles.

Unfortunately, after 50 minutes, the game was abandoned when BBOB captain Brad Harrington suffered a serious injury while scoring a try.

Everyone at DMP sends their very best wishes to Brad for a full and speedy recovery.

We’d also like to wish everyone at Hartlepool BBOB the very best for the season ahead and thank them for stepping up to fulfil the fixture. 🤝💙

Our 2nd & 3rd XV squad is locked in for Saturday's pre-season friendly away to Hartlepool BBOB. 🏉

After a strong week of training, the lads are ready to put the hard work into practice as preparations for the new season continue. 💪

Our friends at Newcastle Red Bulls are taking their brand new 2026/27 Home & Away Kits on the road with a series of mystery drops across the region. 🪂

One of those locations is right here in Darlington. 📍

Less than 24 hours after our previous fixture was cried off, we're pleased to confirm that our 2nd & 3rd XV will now be back in action this Saturday. 🏉

Redcar 1st XV have cried off Saturdays friendly fixture v DMP Dev/3rd XV following RFU Guidelines.

We are therefore looking for a replacement fixture and happy to travel across Durham/Tees Valley to ensure the players get a well-deserved run out.

🚨Reminder

National League Rugby has not been affected by the delay to the community game season.

The senior squad still head to sedgleytigers_rufc on Saturday 5th September and will continue with their full fixture list as planned.

DMP Development & 3rd XV will have to wait a few weeks before their competitive season, however we have friendlies booked over the coming weeks so watch this space 👀

🚨 𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 🚨

Following another late change to our pre-season schedule, we will no longer be facing Blaydon at the Arena on Saturday. Instead, our 1st XV squad will now travel to Kingston Park on Thursday evening for a return training game against Newcastle Red Bulls Academy.
