Two weeks since Silverstone, and two weeks until Oulton Park.

It was a bitter pill to be smashed off the track and into retirement in Race One, after good pace in practise and qualifying, and then spending the rest of the weekend fighting through from the back of the grid.

Together with teammate Rhys and family, who was also taken out of the first race, we knew the lads starting from the very back on Sunday could still deliver a top ten finish if they worked hard - and they delivered! P9 and P10.

It is very early days in cars, but we are taking away some more confidence knowing that if we can qualify top 5 at Silverstone then we can do it again at the next round.

Race Report Silverstone National – Fiesta Junior Championship Rd 6 (18 Sept - 20 Sept)

Quali – P5 (of 29)
Race One – DNF
Race Two – P14
Race Three – P9

Just three sessions to learn the track on Friday, and then straight into Quali on Saturday morning. Immensely pleased with P5 and just two tenths off Pole.

Race One – a car behind forced another into a spin which then collected us at turn 2, and sending us into retirement. Absolutely gutted to have lost a real shot at a podium finish but glad the car missed the barrier, and after checks had sustained only cosmetic damage. DNF

Race Two – starting at the very back of the grid because of the DNF, and taking no risks in order to ensure making it through to the final race. This race turned out to be an exercise in accident avoidance, with 10 cars not classified by the end. P14

Race Three – a good battle in the midfield with lots of overtakes and more valuable experience. Really happy to be inside the top 10 by the end of the race. P9

Huge congratulations go to our teammates this weekend – Dara taking the 2026 Championship win in style with a win in Race Three, and equally delighted to see Lewis take his first podium after coming so close on multiple occasions!

For ourselves, we feel that the pace was good but clearly more race experience needed for now. That’s still only really 5 completed races under our belt, so we now look ahead to the championship finale at Oulton Park in just under four weeks time.

P5 in Qualifying yesterday here at Silverstone, and off to a great start in Race One.

Sadly a couple of cars behind came together and collected Tomas while he was in touching distance of the front pack.

A racing incident and unavoidable, but the DNF means we start from the back of the grid for Race Two at midday.

Here we go - its Silverstone!

Testing kicks off on Friday with Tomas having never turned a wheel here - the first time he will have arrived at a circuit with nothing but Sim experience behind him. It's going to be a new challenge but hopeful of adapting quickly.

We are looking forward to this.

The greatest challenge of the year so far for Tomas at Donington on Tuesday evening - spending a couple of hours on track with the sole purpose of gently running in a new race motor and resisting the temptation to use the full rev range!

A few snaps from Oulton Park this week, learning the circuit and building up the speed on this fast, technical and scary track. Playing a little bit with setup but mainly here to increase confidence and be ready to race here in October.

Thank you to Finley for the pictures, including a good demonstration of how NOT to make entry into Cascades (unless in a drifting competition)!

Race Report Brands Hatch – Fiesta Junior Championship Rd 5 (14-16 Aug)

Quali – P9 (P8 after a DQ in front)
Race One – P10 (3rd rookie)
Race Two – P8 (3rd rookie)
Race Three – P12 (2nd rookie)

Really, really happy with the first hiccup-free race weekend. Lots of experience gained, especially in race two when fighting with the front running pack, and a level-headed approach thanks to the driver coaching from Jenson and Pete at 20Ten Racing.

The hard-earned P8 start in Race 3 didn’t quite work as hoped after being unable to filter to the inside line at the race start, and trying to hold around the outside at several corners was a bad decision, leading to 7 places lost in the first two laps. A couple of overtakes made, but then, in the latter half of the race, losing all momentum at Graham Hill bend when having to back out of a move and dropping to P16. Lessons learned.

Confidence growing but the next race at Silverstone will be the same approach – aiming for consistency and building experience by bringing the car home in one piece and finishing each race.

TOP TEN!

Really happy with todays Race One result. After the disasters at Donington last month, things nearly went badly again after using 3rd gear at the restart and dropping from P8 to P16!

A fast and determined recovery drive and finishing an unbelievable 10th overall with all to play for tomorrow in Races Two and Three
