🚨 JETT LAWRENCE PENALIZED
Jett Lawrence has been issued one rider license point and an undisclosed fine after the incident with Haiden Deegan during qualifying at the 2026 High Point National.
What Happened:In Q1, the two rivals traded roosts after Deegan took Jett’s preferred line on a hot lap. In Q2, Jett crashed on a slow lap — when Deegan rode by and chirped at him, Jett responded with an obscene hand gesture. Race Direction reviewed it as a code of conduct violation.
Jett still topped overall qualifying with a 1:59.977 lap despite the drama.
Race Day Result:
• Hunter Lawrence went 1-1 for the overall win
• Jett Lawrence 2-2 (2nd overall)
• Haiden Deegan 4-3 (3rd overall)
This rivalry is heating up fast 🔥

💥 JETT VS. DEEGAN MELTDOWN: Should the AMA Punish Jett Lawrence? 🛑👇
The rivalry between Jett Lawrence and Haiden Deegan just reached an absolute boiling point this weekend at the High Point National!

During the first 450 qualifying session, the mind games were in full effect. Jett crashed, and as Deegan rode past him and chirped something, Jett visibly flipped him the middle finger on live television.

The big question everyone is asking online today: Where is the penalty? 🤔

If the AMA wants to protect the image of the sport, they need to stay consistent! Look at how heavily they have punished other riders throughout history for doing the exact same thing:

👉 Jorge Prado (2026)

* The Incident: Flipped off Cooper Webb and threw a mock air-punch at the Salt Lake City finale.
* The Penalty: Automatically fined and docked 1 championship license point.

👉 Cole Davies (2026)

* The Incident: Flashed an "obscene hand gesture" at competitors mid-race at Salt Lake City.
* The Penalty: Hit with a $222 fine and docked 5 license points.

👉 Haiden Deegan (2024)

* The Incident: Flipped off Tom Vialle after a chaotic first-turn crash.
* The Penalty: Put under a massive microscope and given formal AMA warnings.

👉 Chad Reed (2011 & 2015)

* The Incident: Threw a dramatic "throat-slit" sign at James Stewart (2011) and later gestured wildly at Eli Tomac (2015).
* The Penalty: Formal reprimands, a black flag, and financial fines.

👉 Ricky Carmichael (2001)

* The Incident: Flipped off the "King" Jeremy McGrath mid-race on live TV at the Pontiac Supercross.
* The Penalty: Sparked swift, severe internal warnings from officials to clean up the broadcast.

👉 Tyler Bowers & Jason Anderson

* The Incident: Repeatedly caught throwing aggressive hand signs, pointing fingers, and staring down rivals.
* The Penalty: Slapped with multiple probations and fines throughout their careers.

------------------------------

💥 THE REASON FOR CONSPIRACY:
The AMA has already handed out points deductions and heavy fines this exact season for hand gestures. So why is Jett getting a pass? Is it because he's the sport's "golden cash calf," or does the AMA just love the views the rivalry is bringing in?
🎥 Live cameras see everything now. If the rulebook says it's a violation, it should apply to everyone—no matter how many championships you have!

💬 WHAT IS YOUR TAKE?

Should Jett Lawrence face a fine and a license point deduction like Jorge Prado did? Or should the AMA let the riders show raw emotion and stop being so soft?
