Seeing Sergio Perez in pink in the late 2010’s almost became a iconic look and is remembered fondly for his famous first win with Racing Point back in the dramatic 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix.

Now with BWT’s sponsorship ending with Alpine for 2027 the likelihood is that they’ll be looking for a new title sponsor and Cadillac would probably be the most likely option

Esteban has confirmed he is a free agent for 2027 and will leave Haas at the end of the season. The Frenchman made his debut with Manor in 2016 and joined Haas last year from Alpine.

Esteban said in a press conference at Baku “At the moment, I’m definitely a free agent for next year. There are things in discussion that are out of my control. There are certain topics that are out of my control. So, I will keep pushing until the end of the year and see how it goes.”

Brazilian Rafa Câmara is hot favourite to replace Esteban with Jack Doohan & Ryō Hirakawa also on the list. It’s understood that Yuki Tsunoda was in the running but is now out of the discussion.

It also now looks very slim for Esteban to continue in the sport with a very limited realistic number of options left

Rafael Câmara set on F1 🇧🇷

The 2025 Formula 3 champion and title contender for Formula 2 in 2026 looks to be hot favourite now to partner Ollie Bearman at Haas for 2027 replacing Esteban Ocon who’s F1 career looks likely to end.
The young Brazilian has looked impressive and is backed by Ferrari in their junior program.
