At the elite level, a fighter rarely gets a clean, one-way fight.

They must gather information: speed, quickness, tendencies, power, distance, and defensive gaps. They also have to stay composed enough to use what theyโ€™re seeing.

Once those reads are established, the fighter must begin to take control. Adjust the distance. Change the timing. Attack the openings.
