Derbyshire Cricket Foundation Ltd Derbyshire Cricket Foundation are the governing body for recreational cricket across Derbyshire

Derbyshire Cricket Foundation is the 'governing body' for all aspects of recreational cricket in Derbyshire. We are a not-for-profit, charity limited by guarantee and our remit covers:
•Running the player pathway that develops talented players and run the county teams for girls aged U10-U17 and Women's 1st XI
• Supporting the 127 cricket clubs in the county with advice on coaching, funding and running their clubs
•Training and resources for coaches, umpires, scorers and grounds staff
•Working with over 120 schools providing free cricket coaching to both primary and secondary children
•Running affordable, high quality cricket courses in school holidays for children typically aged 8-14 to develop their interest and skills in the game
•Encouraging adult participation through Last Man Stands (2 hour, after work games) and into clubs.

It was brilliant to meet with Vaillant staff, share the many opportunities available through Derbyshire Cricket Foundation, and talk about the positive impact we’re making across our communities.

Safe Hands Workshops – Book Your Place!

Are you a Club Safeguarding Officer who needs to complete or renew your Safe Hands training?

We have three face-to-face Safe Hands workshops coming up across Derbyshire:

📍 Derbyshire CCC – Monday 23 November
📍 Pilsley & Clay Cross CC – Monday 22 February
📍 Dove Holes CC – Thursday 4 March

⏰ 6:15pm–9:15pm
💷 £10 per person

Safe Hands training is required for Club Safeguarding Officers and should be renewed every three years.

Our Girls Intro to Hardball Sessions have been running for the past two weeks, and on Tuesday we had the chance to pop down and see how everyone was getting on.

Mental Health Day🌏

Mental health can affect anyone — players, coaches, volunteers, parents, officials and everyone involved in cricket.

There's far more to cricket than what happens on the pitch. Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply listen.

👂Listen without judgement
💬Ask how someone is really doing
🎗Support them to find help when they need it
🏏Make cricket a place where people feel safe to speak
