🎾 Rally for Ottie | Exhibition Match 🎾
As part of Saturday’s Rally for Ottie, we’ll be hosting a special padel exhibition match 6:00 - 7:00pm on Centre Court!
The Rushby brothers will be battling it out with Ben & Hayden, with four of Derby’s finest players going head-to-head! 👊🎾
Come down, support and watch some of the best padel around as they show us how it’s done! 🙌
We’ll see you there! 💙
Not every rally needs to be a good one…
Some of us are just here for the vibes, the giggles, and the occasional apology to the court next door. đź¤
Five percent skill, ninety five percent sorry, but 10/10 fun 🎾🤝
Tag your paddle partner who also can’t keep the ball in, and click the link in our bio to book your court on Playtomic and come embarrass yourself with us.
📍 The #1 positioning mistake we see on the padel court…
Standing in the “no man’s land”
90% of balls bounce between the second post and the cut in the glass. If you’re standing in that zone, you’re constantly on the back foot.
So where SHOULD you be?
DEFENDING: Line yourself up with the cut in the glass, this gives you the best coverage and reaction time.
ATTACKING: The second post is your golden spot. Perfect position to pounce on the ball and take control of the point.
Small positioning tweak. Massive difference in your game. 🎾
One of padel’s most underrated tactics… 👀
A lot of people forget this one, and it makes winning much harder for themselves!
It’s all about positioning. If you’re standing far away from the net, the net becomes your obstacle. However, if you’re playing closer to the net, with a full view of your opponents’ court, you’ve got a much better chance of hitting winners!
Give this a try in your next padel match!
