⚽ FULL-TIME RESULT ⚽
🔴 Brodsworth Welfare Reserves 1–1 Dunscroft United 🔵
📝 MATCH REPORT

A frustrating afternoon for Dunscroft United as we were forced to settle for a share of the points following a disappointing performance for large parts of the game.

For the opening 60 minutes, we were simply nowhere near the standards we expect of ourselves. Brodsworth were comfortably the better side, showing more desire and intensity, and deservedly took a 1-0 lead when a cross curled into the far top corner. An unfortunate goal to concede, but one our goalkeeper could do absolutely nothing about.

⚡ However, going behind finally sparked us into life!

Suddenly, we began playing with urgency, pressing higher and putting Brodsworth under sustained pressure. Two efforts were cleared off the line as we pushed desperately for an equaliser.

Then came a moment of quality from Tyler Harrison! 🔥

Breaking free of the defence, Tyler cut inside onto his weaker left foot before unleashing a powerful strike that crashed against the crossbar and bounced over the line to bring us level! ⚽💥

With momentum firmly on our side, we continued to pile on the pressure, searching for a winner. Despite our late dominance and determination, we couldn't find that decisive second goal to take all three points.

👏 FULL-TIME THOUGHTS
Ultimately, a disappointing result and a performance that fell well below our expectations for the majority of the game. The reaction after conceding was encouraging, but we simply cannot afford to wait 60 minutes before showing what we're capable of.
Plenty to reflect on, plenty to improve, and standards that need to be raised going forward

⚽ FULL-TIME | Dunscroft United 4–4 Team 780

A game of two halves today as we’re forced to settle for a point after surrendering a two-goal lead late on.

We were dominant in the first half, pressing Team 780 relentlessly and causing them problems all over the pitch. Goals from Tyler Harrison and a Callum Sharp brace gave us a deserved 3–1 lead at half-time.

The second half was a completely different story. We struggled to rediscover the intensity and communication we showed in the opening 45, allowing Team 780 back into the game at 3–2.

Callum Sharp completed his hat-trick with a toe-poked effort that the keeper couldn't keep out, restoring our two-goal advantage at 4–2.
With 10 minutes remaining and tired legs beginning to show, we failed to see the game out. Team 780 were awarded a very questionable penalty to make it 4–3, on a day where the referee made a number of poor decisions affecting both sides.

Then, in the final minute, an unfortunate Liam Norris own goal brought the scores level at 4–4.

A disappointing second-half display and a real lack of communication ultimately cost us all three points. We take it on the chin, learn from it and move on to next week. 💙⚽

⚽ FULL TIME | DUNSCROFT UNITED 4–3 AFC MANTON ⚽

WHAT A START! 💙🤍

Our first game in the Central Midlands Alliance League Division One North ends with all three points after a seven-goal thriller! 🔥

Dunscroft started strongly, with Liam Norris opening the scoring around the 20-minute mark with a cross-turned-shot that lobbed the keeper, hit both posts and somehow found its way over the line! ⚽
Manton equalised from the penalty spot before half-time, sending us in level at 1–1.

The second half was end-to-end, with both sides creating chances. Changes from the bench paid off as Jake Smith, only on the pitch for around five minutes, delivered a brilliant corner for captain Callum Sharp to head home! 🎯

Manton were then handed another penalty for a foul that looked clearly outside the box 🤯 — a crazy decision which brought them level at 2–2.
But the skipper had other ideas… 👀

💥 35-YARD SCREAMER — 3-2!

Then, with 10 minutes remaining, Sharp struck again from 20 yards, the ball bouncing off both posts before crossing the line!

🎩 CAPTAIN SHARP HAT-TRICK!

Manton pulled one back late and piled on the pressure, but the lads stood firm and saw it out! 💪
