Rinse your gear in fresh water after every dive, especially regulators, computers and BCs.
A few minutes of care extends the life of your kit and keeps it working when you need it most.

Choose your exposure protection based on water temperature and dive time, not how warm it feels on the surface.

Waiting until your ears hurt is too late.
Start equalising before you feel any pressure, and keep doing it gently throughout your descent.
Little and often beats one big squeeze.

Every Tuesday from 8pm, you'll find us in the SHYC bar - planning dives, swapping stories, and welcoming anyone curious about diving.
No booking needed, just come and say hello.
Whether you're a qualified diver or just curious about scuba, it's a relaxed way to meet the club.

⚓ Why do divers keep training after qualification?

Getting qualified is only the beginning.

Every dive teaches you something new, whether it's buoyancy, navigation, communication, boat skills or simply becoming more comfortable in the water.

That's one of the best things about diving — there's always another skill to develop and another adventure waiting.
