Our Clients receive their care the way they want, at a time when they want to have it delivered. They are involved in all decision-making, including agreement of their personalised care plan. We know that emotional and moral support for our Clients and their family can be just as important as our specialist care knowledge, so it is ingrained in the support we provide and we always keep in close contact with concerned family and friends. We also understand that good day-to-day communication is vital to give families and loved ones peace of mind, which is why all daily records and communication sheets are kept accessible in the Clients’ home and any concerns can be easily addressed through a call to the office. They want to make a difference in the lives of those in their care. To ensure only the best CareGivers join us, we have a rigorous selection process in place that includes personal interviews, competency testing, psychometric testing, reference checks and background clearance. We also ask ourselves a simple question – would I trust the CareGiver to look after my own mother in her home? We only recruit if the answer is a definite ‘YES’. Once a CareGiver meets our strict criteria, it’s just the beginning. Each goes through a training and orientation process that guides them through our Right at Home values and standards, going above and beyond the national legal requirements. They are given training on issues that help them develop as better overall CareGivers, as well as training on dealing with very specific situations they may come across in their role.

WE HAVE A NATIONAL CARE AWARDS FINALIST! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to announce that our wonderful Lou has been shortlisted as a finalist for Specialist Carer of the Year at the National Care Awards! 🎉

Anyone who knows Lou will know just how much this recognition means.

Lou has a real passion for supporting people living with dementia to continue doing the things they love and living life on their terms. Whether that's a round of mini golf, a game of bowling, meeting some alpacas, getting involved with local groups or simply finding something that brings a smile, Lou always starts with the person and what matters to them. ❤️

When we submitted Lou's nomination, we included just some of the wonderful moments that show the difference she makes, and we've shared a few of them here.

For Lou, specialist care isn't about focusing on what someone can no longer do. It's about finding out what they can do, what they want to do, and helping make it happen.

To now see that dedication recognised nationally is something our whole team is incredibly proud of.

🌊 A lovely day by the seaside! ☀️💙

We had such a brilliant time on our client trip to Lee-on-Solent!

There was plenty of laughter, a few games of bingo, lots of singing along to some favourite songs and, of course, some delicious food. 🎶🍽️

Days like these are about so much more than just getting out and about, they’re a chance to have fun, make memories and enjoy time together. 🥰

⚽ 60 years later and still talking football! ❤️

Our client Tony recently enjoyed a very special catch-up with another client, his old friend Paddy over a cup of tea.

As they got chatting, they worked out that it was over 60 years ago when Paddy played football for Michelmersh & Timsbury, with Tony running the line as his linesman!

It was lovely to see the pair reminiscing, sharing stories and coming alive as they talked about their footballing days. Moments like these show just how powerful old friendships and shared memories can be. 💙
