For parents, carers, staff and users of Broughton High School In May 2006, the Scottish Parliament passed the Scottish Schools (Parental Involvement) Act.
The Act was introduced to help parents, carers and schools work together as partners in children's learning. In August 2006 parents at BHS successfully established a Parent Council (the representative part of the Parent Forum, the wider body in which all parents and guardians at the school are automatically enrolled).
