It’s a bit of a shoulder workout, but the Beal rope brush gets so much more dirt out than a washing machine.

Using pure soap flakes to wash (bit cheaper than specialist rope wash, still safe for ropes/textiles).

*Benny Beg is the classic beginner crag, just S of Crieff so 90 min from Edin or Glasgow. South-facing and generally sunny, 1 minute flat walk from car park so it’s pushchair friendly and accessible for the less-mobile. Dog-friendly, often a coffee van, and a garden centre for yer grandad. Bring a picnic!

Suits active adults all ages, and adventurous kids from around 9 yo. Kids MUST be accompanied by their actual parent/guardian. 4hrs of adventure for £60pp.

We’re going to the sunny outdoor paradise that is Benny Beg! Although we’ve climbed pretty much everything at BB, it’s a rare treat to run Height Club sessions here, so we’d like to make the most of it!
4hr session makes the most of the journey, loads of time for many toprope climbs, learning belaying if you cant do that, there’s a great abseil if the group fancy it, or even more climbing instead!
Benny Beg is about 3 miles South of the pretty town of Crieff. It’s south-facing, accessible (flat 1-min walk from car, ok for pushchairs etc), dog-friendly. There’s a garden centre for your grandad, and usually a coffee van, and it’s a good picnic spot.

Grades? F3 to around 6b+ so suits newbies, and is probably the classic Scottish location for indoor climbers venturing out for the first time.

Age? Adults any age, or confident kids from around 9 (accompanied by parent/legal guardian). Adults booked in so far…

All safety gear provided (no promises, but may be able to get you climbing shoes too? However, trainers, bmx shoes, walking boots all fine here). Plan to have a very good assistant instructor too!
