Pride is a time to celebrate, but above all pride is still a protest. Q***r rights - and the rights of trans and gender diverse people especially - have been rolled back a staggering amount in the last decade, at the hands of both Conservative and Labour governments.

The current government has shown time and again their eagerness to block trans adults and young people's access to healthcare. Proposed new guidance aims to take away trans people’s right to play sports in a welcoming environment and live their lives with dignity, and paints trans people as an inherent risk to the rights of women. That’s flatly wrong.

We stand with all of our q***r and trans members, and we're marching today for our rights! With the rise of the far right in the UK, stoked in part by the current government, we must all resist this climate of fear and fight not just for q***r liberation but also for the rights of refugees, migrants, disabled people, Palestinians, and all those facing oppression.

Every single one of us must rise to the occasion. Meet with your MP and demand that they sign the Early Day Motion rejecting the current transphobic guidance. If you’re cis especially, remind them that trans rights are not a threat to your own. Find out what you can do to help the communities most at risk near you. None of us are free until all of us are free.
