Everything starts with a bike. The Bike Station envisions a Scotland where cycling for people and for the planet is the norm.

We are creating communities where kids, young people and adults are healthier and more connected and our planet is respected.

Due to unforeseen circumstances our Tollcross branch will be closed for at least three days, starting tomorrow (Thursday 20 August). We're sorry if you were planning to visit us! We will provide more information about re-opening as soon as possible.
Our Gorgie branch is open as usual.

Here at the Bike Station, we believe everything starts with a bike. And donated bikes are the foundation of everything we do! We love giving bikes a new life by refurbishing and selling them, but we also rely on donated bikes to support our community activities: Kids Bike Life, our free Wee Bike Library, and more.
If you like what we do, why not donate your old bike to help support all of our work?

Schools are going back soon... how do the holidays always go so fast?
We can't wait to jump back into our Kids Bike Life activities with local schools: bring on the bike buses, free cycle training to children and adults, bike maintenance and more!
We couldn't do our Kids Bike Life programme without donated bikes of all sizes. Thinking of getting rid of a bike? Donate it to us so we can keep supporting local kids to discover the magic of cycling!

August is one of the busiest months for us at the Bike Station - and we love seeing so many people wanting to cycle in the summer!
If you love it too, why not donate a bike to help satisfy that Autumn demand? Your used bike could have a whole new life, and donating it to us to resell also helps us to provide our community programmes removing barriers to cycling.

Every child deserves the chance to ride a bike.

By supporting The Bike Station, you're helping us refurbish children's bikes, keep our Wee Bike Library running, and remove financial barriers that stop families from accessing cycling.

Together, we're helping children build confidence, stay active, and enjoy the simple joy of riding—while giving bikes a second (and third, and fourth!) life.

🚲 Whether you donate a bike, spread the word, volunteer, or support our work, you're helping create more smiles on two wheels.

Thank you for helping us keep Scotland moving.

One bike can carry so many stories.

A first wobbly ride.
The journey to school.
Weekend park adventures.
A child discovering they can do something they never thought possible.

When that bike is returned to our Wee Bike Library, its story doesn't end, it begins again with another family.

That's the beauty of reuse. One bike can create years of memories for many children while keeping perfectly good bikes in use and out of landfill.

One bike.
One donation.
Years of adventures.

When you donate a bike to The Bike Station, you're doing much more than clearing space in your garage.

You're helping reduce waste, supporting skilled repair, and giving someone else the opportunity to own a high quality refurbished bike.

That's the power of repair and reuse. 🚲 If your bike still has the potential for a second life, we'd love to see it.

Find everything you need to know before donating on our website.

A bike is never just a bike.

It's the confidence to cycle to school.
It's family adventures at the weekend.
It's building independence, making friends, and discovering your local community.

Our Wee Bike Library helps make these moments possible by giving families access to quality children's bikes when they need them.

Because every ride is an opportunity to build confidence, improve wellbeing, and create lifelong memories. That's the power of community cycling.
