Founded in 1981, the British Kenpo Karate Union (BKKU) is a leading force in American Kenpo in the UK.

Under the guidance of Master Kevin Mills we fuse biomechanics and combat psychology to evolve Kenpo into a cutting‑edge, effective self‑defence system.

Commitment shows. Always.

Big respect to our London club who made the trip down to Exeter today.

Solid session, pressure, detail, intent. all the things that actually matter. This is how standards stay high.

Properly good to have you all down, and even better to see that level of commitment to your training.

Always a pleasure. See you again soon. 👊

Big congratulations to Dylan and Jamie, on testing for and thoroughly earning their respective grades of Purple and 3rd Kyu Brown. Both started with us as children, and are now working through senior syllabus.

Years of hard work, consistency, and earning every step, they are both an absolute pleasure to teach.

Proud of both of them. This is what commitment looks like 👊🔥

Some journeys in life are measured not in years, but in the people, lessons, and memories built along the way.

This year marks the 45th Anniversary of the British Kenpo Karate Union, (BKKU) and for Master Kevin Mills and Associate Professor Jenni Mills, it is incredibly special having been part of that journey from the very beginning.

“From those first steps onto the mat in 1981, to still teaching and training today, Kenpo has shaped so much of our lives.

This past weekend’s seminar was a wonderful reminder that Kenpo is more than just a martial art, it’s a lifelong family.

Forty-five years later we are still training, still teaching, and still inspired by the amazing people who continue to walk this path with us.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the Seminar and celebrate such a special year for us and the BKKU.”

🥋👏 Huge congratulations to our young student who successfully tested for his next adult grade last night! 🎉

He has been training with us since he was just 4 years old, and it’s been incredible to watch his journey, dedication, and growth over the years. From his very first belt to where he is now, he’s shown what perseverance and hard work can achieve.

We’re so proud of you!! Keep pushing forward and inspiring others! 🥋💪

On behalf of our organization, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, students, and the wider Kenpo community.

His legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he impacted and the knowledge he shared. 🙏
