A superb ending to an up and down season from the boys.

blairfulton8 opened the scoring just 10 minutes in, a lovely turn in the middle of the park left Grover’s scrambling and he rifled the ball into the bottom net leaving Jussi Jääskeläinen in no man’s land.

doubled our advantage just before the half, opposition failed to clear the ball which fell to Jack just outside the box. His shot a perfect replication of Blair’s finish outfoxed the keeper and nestled into the bottom corner.

Grover’s were perhaps unfortunate to not be awarded a penalty after brought his man down inside the box however the ref saw it differently.

made it three with 5 to go, a quick counter attack while Grover’s were chasing a consolation goal. shot was too hot to handle and who else but Andy “6 yard box “ Carroll was at hand to tuck it away.

Motm; a tough decision this week as so many boys more than did enough to earn the award however edged over his midfield partner in Blair, Jack was tireless throughout the 90, being an integral part of the engine room and netting the second.

Simply not good enough from ourselves at the weekend, punished by a much more clinical opponent. with our only goal, stick the ball in the box and he’ll get in the end of it.

A double header post this time around as we’ve had some technical issues behind the scenes alongside some lovely weather and a rare Sunday off!

12.04. 2-2 against innercity- A contested affair between two evenly matched sides, despite a bright start which saw us play some lovely football Innercity struck first, a quickfire double( a common occurrence if we concede 1). However colts came out the blocks at the half reinvigorated and hungry to prove a point, Chris added to his league tally a quick freekick by Blair allowed Chris to round the keeper and tap it home. Blair then turned into the hero we needed, a fine finish from outside the box rescuing us a point and earning himself motm to.

19.04 2-1 loss against Milngavie - a familiar foe but a different story compared to our last meeting. Once again we found ourselves 2-0 at the half, a combination of poor defending and a clinical opposition. Subs were made and talks given but provided no results until the 80th minute when unlikely goalscorer Grant Cullen slide the ball into the back of the net, literally. However we had too much left to do in too little time and were unable to rescue a point. Motm was Jack Young, Jack worked tirelessly throughout the 90 and did everything he could to keep the game within touching distance.

Colts were unable to take last weeks great result into this weekend.

Steins were by far the more clinical side on the day, colts came close being denied by the bar on several occasions.

Motm: loath giving keepers the award in what looks like a heavy loss however kyran was superb over the 90, making multiple key saves including a penalty, if it wasn’t for Kyran we probably wouldn’t even post the result 👀🐼

Heartbreak hotel for the colts this week.

An away day through in wishaw saw us take on inform side Motherwell villa who had previous scored 13 goals in th space of 2 games. Colts took the lead through an outstanding finish by the captain , a long ball by Mikey kept in by Luke’s tenacious running, Brooklyn then sprayed the ball across the middle which found Ian running on to it from about 25/30 yards and he finessed the ball into the top corner without breaking his stride. Motherwell equalised right before the half time whistle, a crushing way to go into the break.

Chances came and went for both sides in the second half, our best chances being denied by almost all body parts of the oppositions keeper. However the deadlock was broken on the 89th minute, a Motherwell corner helped on by the ever present wind soared towards the goal and Kyran was unable to keep the ball out of the net. Mother Nature 1 - 0 colts, Motherwell 2 - 1 colts, a crushing moment after a spirited performance from the boys.

Motm: , the captain was superb this week, a fantastic goal and great all round target man play, really helped us ticking along in the oppositions half.

A spirited comeback after a rough first half for the colts.

A moment of madness allowed the 6 yard maestro to give us the lead after Blair went up strong against the keeper and forced him to spill the ball in our favour. East End then replied with an equaliser about 15 minutes later and subsequently took the lead just before the half time whistle.

Strong words at half time and a few reminders of what we are capable of were echoed at half time however East End were first to strike doubling their advantage. then reduced the deficit back down to 1 with a superb looping volley from just outside the box. East Ends hard work was undone on the 68th minute, a clumsy last man challenge on Andy resulted in a red card and a freekick just outside the box. struck the ball low into the mouth of the goal, which looked to be met by the keeper’s waiting hands and yet luck was on our side and the ball found its way through his hands and into the net…3-3 game on.

Colts made full advantage of the extra man, putting us into the lead, a tidy finish from an accurate pass by . then completed the comeback and sealed all 3 points, a quick counter attack a determined run by who’s cross fell to Deco and he did the rest.

Motm: this weeks award could have went to a few different players but is our winner this week, Andy was superb across the full 90, a goal and a key assist to win the game. Work rate off and on the ball was a joy to watch.

Heartbreak in the dying minutes for the colts this week, an 89th minute winner sealed all 3 points for our opposition in what turned into a second half scrap for who won.

Our goal coming via some lovely link up play between Chris and Luke before the latters cross found to put it home.

Motm: this week there was a few standouts however the award was given to the goal scorer Deco, on another day he easily adds 2/3 to his tally and we gain 3 points. Decos work rate off the ball was second to none and thoroughly deserves the accolade this week.

A point a piece was probably a fair result on reflection of the game, Colts were the better team in the first half but were really unable to capitalise on our lion share of possession.

Goals from and injury free .mcl_ were enough for us to return home with the point, however all 3 could have been ours if it wasn’t for a sublime save by Wednesday’s keeper in the dying minutes

This years golden boot race as of now; will last years winner and club captain be dethroned by old boy Chris 🤔👀
