- Defeat this morning in Cumbernauld.

Poor day at the office for the lads as a 15 minute collapse second half saw Colts race away with the lead. There was some good football on display but we gave up too many chances and some individual mistakes led to giving goals away. Well done to Chrissy getting his first goal. Free week for the lads next week, regroup at training this Thursday and we are back 1st Saturday in October in the Scottish.

- West of Scotland Cup RD1🏆

This Saturday we face Cumbernauld Colts 21’s in the first round of the West. A fellow SPAFA team and young fit side so we know it will be a tough test to get into the next round! 9am Kick Off @ Broadwood Astro.

- Scenes at the end😍⚽️!!

Today we dug out a result after 2 mistakes leading to goals. All about the players character and attitude! Despite a good first half performance we lost a goal from a counter attack from our corner - 0-1 @ HT.

We came out second half we stepped up our level and controlled the game and started to make chances, good play down the left we win a freekick which Steg’s cross/come shot flys off the post and in for 1-1⚽️! We then conceded after a mistake at the half way left a 2on1 and goal 1-2 Westerlands. The attitude and intensity of our players went again as we continued as the boys had the belief. We get the equaliser from a corner, Tommy with a great floated ball was met by Aidan raised highest and powered his header into the back of net 2-2!!⚽️⚽️ Tails are up and kept pushing until 90+3 Aidan wins the header, Bentley gets in front of the defender, flicked the ball in-behind for Jake in a race with the keeper and sticks his foot out which blocked the keepers clearance and the ball zips off the surface and into the net, coaches and subs on the park!!! 3-2!!!⚽️⚽️⚽️ FULL TIME.

After a great result in the Scottish Cup we return to league action away to Westerlands AFC @ Scotstoun for a 10am Kick Off!

- Into the hat for the next round of the Scottish🎩🏆

Unreal effort from the boys today against a good side. We started the game tentatively but in anticipation with the shape we started with Brian and Stevie made the call to switch it pre planned before the game if it was needed and we then got a strong foothold in the game afterwards especially in midfield from alot of early pressure from Harp.

We took the lead after winning the ball in the middle of the park, Hobbsy makes himself a yard of space and played the ball down inside channel for Steg, beats the defender, 1on1 sets himself and slots it under the keeper for 1-0⚽️!!! Second half we were a lot more assured in our play. Defended well towards the end as tired legs crept in, we were denied in our opinion a stonewall penalty and just couldn’t find the second despite making good chances! 1-0 FT - All the best to Glasgow Harp!

Overall a solid display and great team spirit. Shout out to our defence today Tommy, Aidan, Shaun and Lewis who are asked to do more than just defend and Adam midfield was superb. MOTM though goes to our debutant David Rowan who won every battle he had today and was excellent on the ball all game - well done Div😎!

- Scottish Amateur FA Cup! 🤩🏆

First Saturday in September means only one thing - the 1st round of the Scottish Cup! We face Glasgow Harp AFC an established team in the Caledonian League so should be an entertaining game but also a tough test. We are at Home Nethercraigs Astro 2pm Kick Off - please come down and support the lads!

Tough game for the lads today few were dead on their feet towards the end of the game after a busy month. We had a great spell last 20 of the 1st half but didn’t make the most of it and was 0-0 @ HT. Second half we didn’t really get going properly and Muirend got their noses in front after a mistake in midfield and the momentum was with them. A lot of positives today and all the best to Muirend🤝
