It's been a while since I posted but there's big news coming from Kelty today. New investors in the club buying a controlling stake.
I hope they can spend a little bit on players as well as infrastructure at new central park. There's nothing wrong with the place as it is, but a couple of weeks changes could make it an even better football venue.

Scottish Gas Scottish Cup fourth round draw from earlier tonight.
Ties of the round include
Auchinleck Talbot v Celtic
Camelon Juniors v Elgin City ( great opportunity for Camelon to get into the 5th round)
Dunfermline Athletic v Hibernian
HeartofMidlothianFC v Falkirk &
Rangers v Annan Athletic
I'm hoping to be at the Dunfermline v Hibs game, work permitting, and will try to do live updates if I make it.
Who's going through, which game are you going to and what do you all think of the draw?

Celtic currently leading 2-0 at Easter road.
Meanwhile, Scottish fitba twitter remains hilarious.

A dilemma of his own choosing. Hopefully he goes through with it.
A bets a bet after all.

Stats from tonights incredible world cup qualifier.

Scotland are going to the world cup!!!
I never doubted the lads. Been thinking about it all day and felt fairly certain we'd see them top the group tonight.
What a way to signal the return of the wee Scottish fitba page. I've been so busy with work I've left this page on the back burner for a bit, but I'll be trying to update at least once a day from here on.
What a night for Scottish football!

Aberdeen have had a torrid time in Bucharest tonight, losing 3-0 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate to FCSB.
They'll drop into the conference league for this season's campaign.

Finally for tonight, a wee look at tomorrow's games for Aberdeen and Hibernian.
Aberdeen going into the second leg level and I think they'll get through if they stay focussed and get a goal. On penalties anything can happen but I think the Dons will get into the UEFA Europa League with a nervy but worthy win in the end. 2-1 to Aberdeen (4-3 on aggregate)
Hibs have a much tougher task and I can't see them managing it. Legia Warszawa are very experienced and have the upper hand with that first leg lead. A very hard nut to and I struggle to see how Hibs will crack it. Warsaw will be too strong and I see 3-0 to them as a likely result. I'm hoping for a wee miracle from Hibs but I just can't see it.

On to tonight's main event with Rangers attempting to overturn the 3-1 deficit from the first leg. Which they didn't, at all
Utterly destroyed in Belgium by Club Brugge. Looking at the stats I've shared here they barely had the ball and were dominated from start to finish. They'll join Celtic in the UEFA Europa League, a competition Rangers have had a lot of recent success in. Though I doubt that'll be any consolation to Gers fans, who will be absolutely furious with the teams capitulation tonight.
I can't say I blame them.

Also last night, another round of KDM trophy fixtures. Celtic B and St Mirren B the only premiership representatives to get wins. I was at the Kelty Hearts v Celtic game and it was as close as the scoreline suggests. Celtic edging Kelty out with a first half header but Kelty made them work to keep the lead.

Your wee Scottish Fitba admin has been absurdly busy at work, so my apologies for the lack of posts this week.
Celtic didn't exactly crash out of the UEFA Champions League last night, losing on penalties with barely a whimper of defiance. Lots to improve upon and some fans are raging at the board again. They'll have a much better shot, on paper, of imposing themselves on the UEFA Europa League. Although judging by the performances over these two legs I wouldn't get excited about it just yet.

Full time at Pittodrie as Celtic comfortably beat Aberdeen.
