Hi all. We just returned from our January trip to Bansko. We had an amazing trip! The conditions were great, Dreams Hotel exceeded expectations massively, and we all had a blast! I am really looking forward to the March trip!

FYI, I have booked the last 6 remaining single room apartments in Dreams, and they are now full for 11-18 March. Currently four apartments are allocated for myself and three others who have already booked. The last two are up for grabs.

Additionally, I have managed to negotiate an identical deal with Grand Royale Apartment Complex & Spa which is 3 minutes walk from Dreams. If we have more than six attendees, we will split you between the hotels.

The last 2 rooms I have booked with Dreams are only reserved for a few days, as I have not paid a deposit. If you'd like to lock-in your room, I would need your £200 deposit paid in the next 4 days. I can confirm this is now refundable until late February, when the remaining £600 will be required.

Reminder of what this gets you:
- A one-bedroom apartment with a large double bed, kitchenette, sofa, bathroom, balcony, buffet hot and cold breakfast
- 6 days gondola and lift pass for the whole Bansko ski area

Why early January? The snow conditions are usually better, and peak season hasn't kicked off in full swing yet. It'll still be busy but not excessively so.

In mid-late January Bansko Will be very busy, it'll take longer to get on the gondola, and you may find the town a bit too crowded.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: I have never skied or snowboarded before, but I want to join. What can I do to prepare?
A: Ideally, book a few lessons with a local ski slope in your home country. It’s better to turn up with a basic knowledge of snow-plough/pizza, how to stop, how to put on your skis/boots/board, etc.
Q: I am worried about injuring myself. Is it safe?
A: Beginners will be skiing / boarding on a very shallow slope. In the beginning you may fall down a lot, but the snow is generally quite soft, so injuring yourself is unlikely. Being able to stop quickly is important so you don’t run into people in front of you, so before you go off on your own, make sure your instructor has tested your ability to stop quickly!
Q: I am not sure if I would prefer snowboarding or skiing. What’s the difference?
A: People say snowboarding is “freer” and better for challenging terrain (once you become advanced), but skiing is better for moving around the slop and getting on and off the lift, etc. I personally prefer skiing. If you are a skateboarder or surfer, you may prefer snowboarding. The best thing to do is try both and see what works best for you!
Q: Why Bansko in Bulgaria?
A: I have been arranging group trips for several years, mostly to Switzerland. The mountains are amazing wherever I ski, but the cost can be prohibitive. Switzerland used to be reasonably priced, but with the cost of living increase, you are getting less for your money than you used to. Bansko is still reasonably priced, has an amazing vibe, and enough to do to keep everyone happy!

What do I need in addition?
• Book your own return flights from your city to Sofia, Bulgaria, arriving between 10 – 15h on the day of arrival, returning between 16 – 21h on the day of departure. Examples below:
