So that's it for another week at Guildford parkrun! As well as celebrating parkrun's 22nd 'tu-tu' birthday, we went orange for Challengers, a wonderful local charity based just behind our start area, who support disabled children and young people. It's no wonder Challengers were able to raise money at their cake sale - we all know how well running goes with bakes! It was a big turnout today - 528 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 91 were first timers and 72 recorded new PBs. Reps of 44 different clubs took part. The event was made possible by 28 volunteers - a huge thanks to them - a great crew today as always. On an admin note, do not panic if your position number looks different in the results - we were 100 ahead but rest assured your times are correct. We also had a photographer from Challengers, photos of the morning may be shared on their socials and website, let us know any issues. Finally! To volunteer next week and beyond, email [email protected]. *Coming Soon* If you're into Halloween, dust off your costumes and book your volunteer slot at our inaugural pumpkin-filled Halloween parkrun on 31st October! See you same time, same place next Saturday 10th.
