IT'S NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS WEEK!!

At Guildford parkrun we obviously love our volunteers 😊. If you're a regular participant with us do please consider volunteering every once in a while - each week we need around 25 volunteers to put on a safe, timed event. Here is a run-down of the roles that you can choose from each week. It's great fun!!

A little shoutout to our friends at the Woking Lions Charity who are looking for volunteers to help marshal at the Martian Race 2026 on Sunday 21st June (Father’s Day).

It’s always a fantastic local event and they’d really appreciate some extra support out on the course helping and encouraging runners.

😎 What a gorgeous summer May day Guildford parkrunners, well done for taking part in this heat! We had a turn out of 478 today with 30 fabulous volunteers, you all rocked it. We still need at least two more marshals for Saturday please! Without these vital safety roles we can’t go ahead.

We’re back on Saturday 😊 (did you miss us?) and we still have some essential volunteer roles to fill, without which we cannot hold the event safely. If you are able to volunteer as a marshal or funnel manager then please email [email protected] asap with your parkrun ID.

Also some good news that we are now ‘on’ on 30th May! - the inflatable event that was due to be in the park has been cancelled which means we can go ahead as usual 😊.
