A reminder that we are cancelled this week, Saturday 22nd August, due to the Sausage 🌭 & Cider 🍺 event in the park.
Enjoy some tourism! (but don’t enjoy it too much 🤣 as we’d love to see you when we’re back on 29th Aug).
This is the last of our scheduled summer cancellations, so barring anything unexpected we should now be on every week until November 7th when we’re cancelled due to the fireworks in the park.

Hope you all enjoyed it this morning despite the heat 🥵😊. The results are now out, sorry they took a while, it was quite the morning……
Firstly the positives: 469 of you ran or walked the course, wonderfully supported by 25 amazing volunteers (thank you). Welcome to our first-timers (your Saturday mornings will never be the same 🤣) and visitors (we hope to see you back at Guildford in the future 👋).
Now the challenges:
- The results are a little skewy in places! 🤦♀️ Sorry, I’ve done the best I can. If yours is *significantly* different from what you were expecting and it’s important to you then do email me and I’ll adjust if I can.
- We had a few incidents this morning. Nothing major. We will post again with some reminders of parkrun rules and etiquette, but in the meantime please remember that parkrun is for everyone - runners and walkers alike - so please be courteous to each other on the course 🙏.
We’re back tomorrow - did you miss us? 😊
I’m aware of some works in the park this week that impact our course. GBC have assured us it will be finished today, but in case of over-run I may need to make a slight course diversion. I won’t know til I get to the park in the morning, so please listen carefully to the briefing.

It’s hot, but we are on. Please bring a drink (there is a tap to refill). Seriously think before bringing a dog or small child.
It’s not a week for mortals to get a PB, so take it easy and we look forward to seeing you.

Guilfest is a fading memory and the park is nearly cleared. We are 2 days from Parkrun and just need a few volunteers to make it happen.
