We’re incredibly sad to hear about the closure of Kingfisher Leisure Centre, and our thoughts are especially with the staff, Swim Academy team and everyone in the Sudbury swimming community affected by the news.
Kingfisher Leisure Centre has been an important part of HSSC for many years, and we know how much it means to so many of our swimmers and families.
While this is a real setback, we’re determined to look forward positively. Our committee and coaching team are already working hard to make sure our swimmers can continue training, exploring additional pool time and new opportunities for the club.
HSSC has faced challenges before, and each time our swimmers, families, coaches and volunteers have pulled together. We’ll do the same again.
For now, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Kingfisher for all their support over the years, and particularly to the staff and Swim Academy team facing an uncertain time ahead. ❤️🏊
We’ll keep our members updated as our plans develop — and we’re looking forward to seeing what the next chapter brings for HSSC.
