Ryburn Valley Firsts 5-2 Lindley Tap

The first team booked another final versus C**k and Bottle, this time in the Senior Cup.

A dominant display from the first minute with Lindley Tap unable to contain the front four of Hildred, Mather , Hamer and Castelow.

As always Lindley Tap battled to the end with Zak Masterson in the Tap goal in inspired form to limit the damage.

Great performance by everyone in a Valley shirt who can now look forward to two cup finals in early May.

3rd May - Senior Cup Final versus C**k and Bottle at Old Earth, Elland- 11am kickoff.

5th May - District Cup final versus C**k and Bottle at Brighouse Town Fc - 7pm kickoff.

Semi-final action this morning with the lads looking to book a place in a second final of the season!

Weekend Results:

Despite pitch troubles, low availability and dropouts, we still managed to field two good sides and it definitely paid dividends!

The firsts coasted through to the semi-final of the Senior Cup with a win vs Toby Rovers. A big helping hand from man of the match Danny Hildred helping himself to another 3 goals to continue his fine goalscoring form to fire the boys through.

The seconds blew Linthwaite away with a rampant display to win in difficult conditions. Tom Hall takes the motm in a dominanting display.

A great weekend indeed!

The lads battled all the way through and deserved the win in the end. Halifax United were stubborn and kept coming back. It took a bullet header with 1 minute left to secure the tie.

Final will be against C**k and Bottle at Brighouse Town on Tuesday 5th May

The lads wore the new kit for the first time yesterday in their hard fought 3-2 win against a stubborn Lindley Tap side, thanks to goals from Ryan Thornley and Joe Holmes 2x.

They host Toby Rovers who are heading over to Lightcliffe academy with nothing to lose and a lot to gain. The seconds have no game this week and will be up to support!
