MATCH RESULT:

The firsts bounce back with a big win away at Halifax United.

Despite early pressure from the hosts and losing keeper Hirsty to injury, the lads managed to score 2 quick fire goals to go ahead.

After a goal back, a 35 yard free kick from Pecky put the boys back in control for a 3-1 HT lead. We coped with everything that Halifax threw at us, with some superb defending and stand-in keeper Jonny Booth making some fine saves, before Holmesy and Wamer sealed the victory late on.

Congratulations to Teddy Kemp who won motm award for an outstanding game up and down the left flank (despite having only one eye for the second half).

Onto next weeks big cup game

Questionable decisions and another missed penalty for us ultimately sealed our fate.

MATCH RESULT:

The firsts suffer their first defeat of the season. Once again, the lads were stretched for a squad with last min dropouts. Still managed to give a good account of themselves against high-flying Dewsbury.

A slow start to both half’s saw us with work to do, a late surge almost paid dividends to make it 3-3, but a break from the hosts as we pushed made it 4-2 to seal the win.

Disappointing result in the end.

Congratulations to goalkeeper Matty Hirst, who produced a string a fine saves to keep us in the game and the scoreline down.

MATCH RESULT:

The ressies suffer defeat on the road in a game that could have finished very differently. Always hard with last minute dropouts leaving a small, stretched squad.

3 missed penalties pretty much summed up our day.

Onto next week in the county cup.

Well done to Scotty C for getting the motm award.
