Beginners get chance to follow in footsteps of West End’s lady captain Halifax West End Golf Club’s new lady captain Gail Godfrey is hoping to inspire more women to take up the sport when the club hosts a taster day for beginners next week.

🏆⛳ Congratulations to Jack and Anita on their fantastic successes during Captain's Weekend at Halifax West End! 🎉

👏 Jack claimed the prestigious Captain's Prize with an outstanding 36-hole nett score of 135, demonstrating superb consistency across both rounds.
🌟 Anita also enjoyed a memorable weekend, capturing the Ladies' 36-Hole Strokeplay Championship with an excellent nett score of 143.
The entire weekend was an outstanding success, with great golf, fantastic camaraderie, and plenty of memorable moments. Adding to the celebrations was the hugely enjoyable 70's & 80's Social Night on Saturday evening, which proved a big hit and helped make the weekend even more special. 🕺💃🎶✨
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported the events, and helped create such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the weekend. Congratulations once again to our worthy champions! 👏🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️
