Halifax Vandals launched their new kit in style last weekend when they celebrated victory in the opening game of the new season.

Vandals made a strong start to the season with a 31-26 win over Sandal Saracens 2XV yesterday!

Here’s what Head Coach Josh MacDonald said about the game: “Really proud of the lads yesterday. Great game to be a part of and watch. Sandal were a very physical opponent up front with a lot of class in their back line. I’m sure they’ll do a job this year; all the best to them. We asked for a change in mindset at the beginning of the season. Following a tough pre season, the boys showed it yesterday. The defensive effort in the last 5 showed that and it was great to see. Personally I think there is still lots to work on, but as a coaching team we are very impressed with their efforts. Sandal have shown the level we need to be at. We will take it week by week as we move onto Bramley next week who have always been a tough team to play against. Great to see a lot at the club watching and making use of the limited nice weather at Warley. UTV.” 🔵⚪️
