Siddal GIRLS ARLFC U16

And that’s a wrap! 🏆

Unfortunately, today’s final cup game didn’t go our way, but we can still look back on an incredible season as Yorkshire Division B winners! 🥇

It’s been a challenging season at times, with lengthy periods without games, but the girls stuck together, kept working hard and showed real determination to finish the season strongly.

We’re also incredibly proud to see two of our girls signed by Huddersfield Giants and selected for the England DICE pathway. This is a fantastic testament to the hard work, commitment and mindset they’ve shown throughout the season. 👏

We have such a fantastic bunch of girls, and every single one has brought something special to this team — whether it’s grit, determination, hard work, encouragement, or simply the smile they bring to every training session and game. 💙

It’s been an absolute privilege to watch them all flourish over the past two years. Seeing their confidence, skills and friendships grow has made every challenge along the way worthwhile.

Yorkshire Division B Winners 🏆 — what a season!

So proud of every single one of you.

A massive congratulations to our very own Keira and Alisha! 🤍💙

Last night, both girls signed for the Huddersfield Giants Under-19 Academy, which is a fantastic achievement and one they should both be incredibly proud of.

We couldn’t be prouder of them. We have had the privilege of being part of their rugby league journey over the past couple of seasons, and it’s been brilliant to watch them develop as players, grow in confidence and, most importantly, believe in themselves and take the opportunities they’ve worked so hard for.

To go from Siddal Under-16s to signing for the Giants is a huge step, and it’s a real credit to the commitment, attitude and hard work they’ve both shown along the way.

Girls, keep working hard, keep believing in yourselves and never stop pushing to be the best players you can be. You’ve both got so much potential, and I’m sure this is just the beginning of a very exciting journey.

We are incredibly proud of you both and will be cheering you on every step of the way. Good luck, Keira and Alisha — go and enjoy every minute of it! 💙🤍🏉

Tomorrow, our U16s head to Pilkington Recs for our first game in the National Cup, where we’ll face the Champions of the North West. 🏆🏉

It’s going to be a tough challenge, but I’m sure our girls will go into the game with plenty of determination, confidence and belief, giving it everything and doing their very best. 💙

𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬 — 𝐊𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐚, 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧— had a fantastic opportunity last night as they took part in the Leeds Rhinos Foundation U16 Aspiring Players Experience at the iconic Headingley Stadium.

The session forms part of the preparation for next year’s North v South competition, which is set to bring a fantastic new opportunity to Girls Rugby League.

Brilliant experience for the girls and another great step in their development.

Well done girls!
