The first Lanarkshire Ice Rink Ladies Competition of the 2026/2027 Season was the Opening Bonspiel in which 10 rinks played a progressive Bonspiel. The winners on the day with plus 8 were Skip Margaret Richardson, Stella Cassidy, Janis Bryce and Kay Goodall who were presented with beautiful fruit baskets, very kindly sponsored by DV McColl Ltd. Unfortunately it was Jackie Craigs rink who won the b***y accolade but she was ably assisted by Christine Hall, Isobel McCracken and Dorothy Stuart. After lunch, President Lynda Blackwood then thanked everyone for playing and drew the raffle with nearly everyone winning a prize, except for the whole table at the door!
