Clyde Valley Ramblers CVR are based in Hamilton with members from all over Lanarkshire. Come and experience it with us! 🫶

Being able to admire and adventure our country, reminds us all that the world is so much larger and more beautiful than day to day life allows. Clyde Valley Ramblers is a popular walking group based in Hamilton, with members located throughout Lanarkshire, and is a part of the Ramblers’ Association. The group’s walk programme covers a large area of Scotland and a few locations in the north of England. Travel to and from the walks is by coach, making this an ideal club to walk with if you do not have a car. Please browse our page to find out more about the group and maybe you will join the group on a walk someday. We are a friendly group of approximately 120 members who enjoy the opportunity to explore Scotland’s natural heritage and its beautiful countryside. We also hold social events including an annual ceilidh, theatre nights, and weekend walking trips. Our walk programme is very varied and covers an area from Braemar to the English Lakes. Three walks of varying difficulty are organised every second Sunday throughout the year, so we're sure you will be able to find walks to suit you. A coach leaves the car park on Beckford Street, Hamilton at 8.30 am; (unless stated otherwise on the walk programme). It is often fully booked so make a point of reserving a seat to avoid disappointment.

Our next adventure is on Sunday 11th October, and we’re heading to the beautiful Killiecrankie and Pitlochry area! 🏔️🍁

We have three fantastic walks on offer:

5 miles | 220m ascent

🌿🚶‍♀️ Clyde Valley Ramblers Visit Perth & Kinross! 🚶‍♂️⛰️

Join us this Sunday, 13th September, as we head to the beautiful Perth & Kinross countryside for another fantastic day of walking, fresh air and great company! 🥾🌄

There are three walks to choose from, offering something for everyone:

🥾 Comrie to Crieff – 10.5 miles, 530m ascent
🌿 Falls of Monzie to Crieff – 8.5 miles, 360m ascent
🚶 Crieff Circular – 5.5 miles, 275m ascent

The Comrie to Crieff route offers a wonderful day through some of Perthshire's finest scenery, with rolling hills, woodland, open countryside and beautiful views along the way. A rewarding route for those looking for a longer day on the hills. 🌳⛰️

Those taking on the Falls of Monzie to Crieff walk will get to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Monzie area, with woodland paths, open countryside and the spectacular Falls of Monzie providing one of the highlights of the route. 💦🌿

For those choosing the Crieff Circular, there'll be plenty of beautiful Perthshire scenery to enjoy without the longer distance. The route takes in the countryside surrounding Crieff, with lovely views, woodland and rolling landscapes making for a great day out. 🌄🥾

With three different routes to choose from, there's a challenge to suit a range of abilities. And as always, it's not just about the walking—it's about getting outdoors, enjoying Scotland's beautiful countryside, meeting up with friends and making new ones along the way! ❤️

⛰️🚶‍♀️ Clyde Valley Ramblers Visit Argyll! 🚶‍♂️🌿

Join us this Sunday, 30th August for another fantastic day of walking as we head to the beautiful region of Argyll! With dramatic mountains, peaceful glens and stunning Highland scenery, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This weeks 3 walks are:

⛰️ Beinn Bhuidhe from Inverfyne – 10.5 miles, 3,475 ft ascent
🥾 Glen Shira to Inveraray, W2 – 8.5 miles, 700 ft ascent
🌿 Glen Shira to Inveraray, W3 – 6 miles, 450 ft ascent

Each walk offers its own unique experience, whether you're looking for a challenging mountain adventure or a more relaxed walk through the beautiful Argyll countryside.

Those taking on Beinn Bhuidhe from Inverfyne will enjoy a challenging and rewarding day in the mountains. The route takes walkers high into the rugged landscape, with spectacular views across the surrounding hills, glens and lochs making the climb well worth the effort! ⛰️🥾

The Glen Shira to Inveraray routes offer a gentler way to experience the beauty of Argyll. Walkers will journey through the scenic Glen Shira, surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful countryside, before making their way towards the historic town of Inveraray. 🌿

With a choice of distances and challenges, there really is something for everyone. As always, you can look forward to great company, plenty of laughs and another memorable day exploring some of Scotland's most beautiful landscapes! 💚

Join us this Sunday, 2nd of August for another fantastic day exploring some of Scotland's most spectacular Highland scenery in Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park!

There are three walks to choose from:

⛰️ Ben Lui & Beinn a' Chleibh – 6.5 miles
🥾 Auch to Tyndrum – 9 miles
🌿 Tyndrum Circular via Airigh Mhor – 5.5 miles

Each walk offers something different, whether you're looking for a rewarding mountain adventure or a relaxing day surrounded by beautiful Highland landscapes.

Those taking on Ben Lui & Beinn a' Chleibh will enjoy a challenging day bagging two magnificent Munros. Expect steep climbs, dramatic ridges and breathtaking panoramic views across the Southern Highlands, with Ben Lui's distinctive summit providing one of Scotland's finest mountain vistas. ⛰️

The Auch to Tyndrum walk follows a scenic section of the West Highland Way, winding through peaceful glens, native woodland and open countryside. Along the route, walkers will be treated to stunning mountain backdrops, sparkling burns and the tranquil beauty that makes this part of Scotland so special. 🌲💧

For those choosing the Tyndrum Circular via Airigh Mhor, the route offers a gentler walk through beautiful Highland scenery, with forest trails, open moorland and impressive views of the surrounding mountains. It's the perfect opportunity to enjoy the fresh air and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. 🌿

Whether you're taking on two Munros or enjoying one of our lower-level walks, you'll be in great company with plenty of laughs along the way. There's something for everyone, and we'd love to welcome new faces!

🌄🚶‍♀️ Clyde Valley Ramblers Visit Loch Lomond & The Trossachs! 🚶‍♂️🌿

What a fantastic day we had exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs! Although the weather was a little on the wet side, it certainly didn't dampen the spirits of our walkers, who embraced the conditions and enjoyed another brilliant day in the hills together.

Those who took on Ben More & Stob Binnein conquered two of Scotland’s iconic Munros. Reaching both summits was a fantastic achievement! ⛰️

The Inverarnan to Crianlarich group followed part of the famous West Highland Way, winding through peaceful woodland, crossing sparkling burns and taking in the beautiful Highland scenery. Even with the rain, the route was full of character, with lush green landscapes looking at their very best. 🌲💧

Walkers on the Auchtertyre to Crianlarich route enjoyed a gentler day through beautiful countryside, following quiet paths surrounded by rolling hills and woodland before finishing in the picturesque village of Crianlarich. The fresh Highland air and stunning surroundings made for a thoroughly enjoyable walk. 🌿

Despite the damp conditions, there were plenty of smiles, laughs and great conversations throughout the day. Once again, the Clyde Valley Ramblers proved that a little Scottish weather is no match for good company and a love of the outdoors! 💚

Join us for another fantastic day of walking on our next adventure to the breathtaking Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park!

There are three walks to choose from:
