Frontiers Youth FC

Frontiers u9 pumas travelled to the fairlands foot all tournament, knowing we would be up against teams from higher divisions.
The boys were told to just enjoy the day and show what they was capable of. Every player was fearless and even in the scorching heat ran their socks off.
The day had everything from great goalkeeping saves, last ditch tackles, woodwork being struck, great driving runs, finesse passing, unreal strikes and the odd penalty.
The boys not only made parents and coaches extremely proud but went on to win the tournament, winning the final with the very last kick of the game

Frontiers Lionesses (u15 for new season from September) are looking to add 1 or 2 new players to our already established and talented squad.

We have just finished runners up in our division and achieved promotion, we want to push on next season and go for titles.

We have 3 coaches. 2 females and 1 male, all DBS checked, 1st aid, safeguarded and FA qualified. One of which with UEFA badges.

We are looking for girls that will be school year 9 or year 10 in September.

U17s or u18s players wanted for Season 26/27. Competitive Division 2 football, a great team environment. Message kyri now to arrange a trial. Players wanting to play up a year are also welcome.

Today the U16 (U17) Cougars entered 2 teams into the Watton 5aside tournament

Both teams topped their respective groups, not losing a game and only conceding 1 goal.

Again both teams won their quarterfinal and move into the latter stage of the tournament.

With the possibility of an all Cougar final looming, the Cougars ‘A’ won their game on penalties, but unfortunately this is where the dream ended, the Cougars ‘B’ narrowly lost thier only game of the tournament 2:1 and they were out.

On to the final, with a magical Hat-rick from Tom, the Cougars won 3-1 and brought the trophy home for Frontiers.

We were extremely proud of the boys not only for their on pitch performances but also how they conducted themselves throughout the day. With the pressure of their GCSE’s just behind them, it was great to see them relaxed and enjoying themselves.

Massive well done to Dan for stepping in and managing the winning team, and thank you for all the parents that came out on father’s day to support the Cougars.

Presentation 🏆

Today the U16 Cougars attended the Panshanger 11aside tournament.

Playing 4 x 25 minute group games, often back to back with very little recovery time in between, the squad deservedly came second within a very competitive group against some great teams.

The semifinal was always going to be a tough game against the only team that defeated the Cougars in the group stages, but the boys came through with a well deserved win.

And onto the final, which again saw the Cougars play some delightful attacking football, but they just couldn’t find that winning goal.

Now onto the dreaded penalties, but despite the Cougars Keeper saving the first pen with an excellent save, today was not to be their day, eventually losing the shootout.

Congratulations to all the Cougars squad for an outstanding achievement, and thank you to all the parents who came and supported. 👏👏👏
