Our Friendly Team enjoyed a great day of golf and excellent company in a Scramble competition at Knaresborough Golf Club. While the hospitality and camaraderie were first class, the same couldn't quite be said for our position on the leaderboard, as we finished at the bottom of the pile! 😄

Meanwhile, our B Team had better fortunes on the course, securing an impressive 4-1 victory over Catterick Golf Club. 👏

It's fantastic to see so many members representing Harrogate Golf Club so well throughout the season. Thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to many more successful outings in the weeks ahead.

🏌️‍♂️ Men’s First Team Continue Strong Start to the Season

A fantastic result for our Men’s First Team last night as they secured a tremendous 14–2 victory over Knaresborough in incredibly challenging windy conditions.

The team produced an excellent all-round performance, showing great skill and determination despite the strong winds, and backed up last week's impressive win over Oakdale with another commanding display.

These back-to-back victories leave Harrogate Golf Club sitting top of the table among the teams that have completed four matches, giving the squad plenty of confidence as the season progresses.

Special congratulations to Luke Donnelly, Harvey Auckland, and Mark Davies, who all delivered particularly strong performances on the night.

Well played to the entire team – keep up the momentum! 💪⛳🏆

Last week, our greenkeeping team carried out verti-cutting work on the fairways as part of our ongoing programme to improve playing surfaces across the course. 🌱⛳

Verti-cutting helps refine the fairways by reducing lateral growth and encouraging a finer, denser sward, resulting in improved turf quality and better playing conditions.

Following the verti-cutter, two tractors collected the debris before the fairways were finished with a final cut from the mower, leaving a clean and tidy surface ready for play.

A great example of the hard work and attention to detail that goes into presenting the course at its best throughout the season.

Our 18th is a testing par 4 to finish the round.

Out-of-bounds lurks all the way down the right, while trees line the left-hand side, demanding a precise tee shot under pressure.

The approach is no easier either, with a large green protected by bunkers and a famous overhanging oak tree ready to catch anything slightly offline.

A fantastic closing hole and one that can change plenty of scorecards late in the round.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday's Seniors Open.

Despite the weather doing its best to test us, we were delighted with the fantastic turnout and even more pleased to hear so many positive comments about the condition and presentation of the course.

It was great to welcome back many familiar faces who support the event year after year, while also meeting plenty of first-time visitors. The best feedback of all? So many of them told us they'll be back again next year!

One silver lining to the rain was seeing our new bar area full of golfers enjoying a well-earned drink and sharing stories from their round.
