Building kitchen confidence at HLT…

A big well done and thank you to Ripon Theatre Hub who raised £3000 for good causes at their panto this year, giving £250 to many charities, including Horizon Life Training.

Caught on camera… a few of our residents were spotted serving and stewarding at the Elim Leaders Summit in Harrogate this week. Keep up the Kingdom work lads.

A big thank you to New Life in Christ Ministries for allowing us to be part of their Sunday morning service. Louis, who has been at HLT since January, shared his story of how God rescued him from the grips of addiction and has placed him on a path of freedom. Louis explained how he has finished college, is now working part-time in fencing, has settled in a local church and is looking forward to a future full of purpose. All glory goes to the awesome God we serve!

An emotional, yet proud week as we said farewell to two residents who are both moving on from their time at Horizon Life Training.

All the current residents, staff and trustees met together for an evening “send-off” dinner for Joe and Tom, which celebrated their successful transition back to their own independent living.

While their daily presence will be missed.. their journeys are an inspiration for the residents and staff alike.. proving that with the right support and personal determination, the path back to independence is always within reach.

Both residents took a slow cooker each with them as a practical item, but also as gifts symbolising the best things in life - independence, peace, and a sense of home - often take time to simmer and perfect.

Every morning at the crack of dawn, one of our residents, Mikey, sends everyone at Horizon pictures of his daily Bible readings from his morning quiet time! What a star. Keep up the encouragement Michael.
