🔸 FEEL VS REAL 🔸

A conversation I have with my students daily. Learn to make sure you exaggerate the feel of what you’re trying to change, as it’s very unlikely you’ll repeat it to that exaggerated state when actually hitting the golf ball.

Perfect example here - feeling as if the shaft is setting incredibly vertical as a pre-shot routine, to then “feeling” the exact same when hitting the shot. The result, very different.

One of the biggest differences I see between a pro and your average amateur golfer…

As your elite player works towards top of the backswing, they’re already starting to move into their lead side before the club has fully worked its way up.

The other golfer, tends to finish the backswing first… then shift.

Small difference, big impact to ball striking.

🔸 TRAIL ELBOW 🔸

An area I see a ton of golfers struggling with. The elbow working too high and deep into the backswing, causing a variety of downswing problems.

The “cackhanded drill” is a fantastic way to feel how that trail elbow need to fold and how the trail shoulder can externally rotate as you work into the backswing. Give it a try!
