The Tuesday Evening Knutsford A Team players competed for the Arthur Jackson Trophy this week & Chris Ashton was victorious in a closely fought game against Allan Rawnsley. Well done to the team who finished 3rd in Division 4.

Yesterday the Team's competition took place with 9 Team's vying to be named champions 🏆

The competition was ran on a knockout basis and the final was between the Tuesday afternoon Norley A team, represented by Norman Harrison & David Mitchell and the Thursday night Trafford League team represented by Jackie & Keith Poskitt.

It was a very close encounter, but the Trafford team came out victorious and took home the glory 🏆👏

The competition was well supported by spectators, who provided plenty of encouragement from the sidelines. And, of course, the cakes at tea break were very much appreciated because no serious bowling competition can possibly continue without cake! 🍰😂

Well done to everyone who took part, and a big thank you to everyone who came along to support the players. A great day of bowling, fun and friendship! Plus great weather 👏🎉

Well, what a fabulous Finals Day at High Legh Bowling Club.

The weather gods were finally on our side, and we managed to enjoy a lovely day of bowling without the usual worry of needing an umbrella

There was a good turnout, with plenty of support from members cheering on the finalists. A huge thank you to everyone who supplied the delicious cakes and pastries – keeping everyone fuelled and happy between games.

And of course, a big thank you to all our markers, who did a sterling job keeping an eye on the bowls and making sure everything ran smoothly.

There were numerous trophies up for grabs, and the games were certainly close-run affairs, with some excellent bowling and plenty of nail-biting moments.

Well done to everyone who took part in the finals. Whether you lifted a trophy or not, you all helped make it a brilliant day for the club.

Congratulations to our winners, commiserations to those who narrowly missed out, and a massive thank you to everyone who came along to support.

Social bowlers visited Mere Bowling Green last Thursday for a friendly match. The rain held off and everyone had a lovely afternoon ☺️

What a lovely afternoon for our annual BBQ with a bowls competition to round things off. The winners were John & Ann, with runners up Norman & Maureen. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped out today 👏

High Legh Bowling Club's annual away day to Owley Wood was another great success, with an impressive 32 members making the trip.

The day kicked off under rather gloomy skies, but thankfully the weather soon realised it was a bowling day and the sun made a welcome appearance after lunch. Members took part in a friendly competition before and after enjoying a delicious buffet – proving that a full stomach doesn't always spoil your bowling!

There was plenty of excellent bowling, lots of laughter and, most importantly, everyone had a fantastic time. Winners and runners-up were rewarded with boxes of chocolates, which had been carefully stored in a cool bag all day to ensure they stayed as chocolate rather than chocolate sauce!

A wonderful day was enjoyed by all, and everyone is already looking forward to the club's next social event – the Annual BBQ, taking place on Saturday 22nd August at 12 noon.

Make sure you keep the date free – if today's turnout is anything to go by, it'll be another cracking day!
