Help save a life.
Overnight train to Sunderland for the Sea Womble with Orange Octopus Adventures raising awareness of drowning prevention. Easiest way is to not go in the water. What if you fall, then the safest way is to learn to swim.
SwimTayka raises money to teach kids to swim for free. Help save a life.

Plan your swim, then swim the plan.
25/07/2026
Plan your swim. Then swim the plan.
Include a practice float to prevent drowning when you misjudge the plan.
If you didn't plan to go in the water to rescue someone, then don't go in on a whim. You will become the one in trouble.
Everybody floats differently. Find your float for World Drowning Prevention Day!
This 25th July, we’re encouraging
everyone to head to their local pool or
lifeguarded beach and practise an
essential lifesaving skill.
Knowing how to float can save your life if
you get into trouble in the water.
By finding your float in a safe and supported
environment, you’re better prepared for
an emergency.
