It’s International Lifeguard Appreciation Day !
It’s always a blast working with so many great lifeguards, at the pool, lake & at open water events.
I’ve been a lifeguard since 1990 & have worked with hundreds, maybe thousands of colleagues, all carefully watching their swimmers. I’ve then taught, since 1995, again possibly thousands of lifeguards, new & ongoing training.
The responsibility of a lifeguard is huge, but the friendships & teammates are even bigger.

Successful Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK NPLQ Lifeguard qualification renewals at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre on World Drowning Prevention Day.
All lifeguards attend regular training & have to renew every 24 months, to ensure customer safety.

All our lifeguards are supporting World Drowning Prevention Day.
Always look for a lifeguarded area to swim in. Learn lifesaving skills at your local pool.
Never put yourself in danger.
Respect the water, whatever your abilities, or the temperature.

It was all go on Sunday, after the lifeguard crew had finished it was off to compete in the Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK East England Lifesaving Heats.
Pleased to say that I retained the title and will take place in the UK finals in Birmingham during November.

Great to spend the morning at Felixstowe Triathlon providing their lifeguard crew.
A huge well done to all who took part, it was our pleasure to look after you.
