🏉🔵⚪ A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR P4/5 TEAM! 🔵⚪

We’re delighted to announce that our P4/5 team have been invited to take part in the pre-match festival at Scotstoun Stadium! 🤩

Our young players will have an amazing opportunity to be part of the matchday action as Glasgow Warriors take on the South African side, the Lions, on Friday 30th October.

But that’s not all! After the festival, all players will be welcomed to stay and watch the game, with the exciting opportunity to either:

🙌 Take part in the Guard of Honour before kick-off, welcoming the teams onto the pitch.

🏉 Or play in the Festival Final at half-time!

This is a brilliant experience for our young players and one they won’t forget in a hurry! 💙

🎟️ Want to come along and support the Warriors?

There are still tickets available online at:

🚌 BUS TRAVEL AVAILABLE!
We’ve also booked a bus leaving from Irvine Community Sports Club at 4:45pm.

Due to the Amber Weather Warning, ourselves and our fellow clubs have made the decision to cancel tomorrow’s youth fixtures. The storm’s set to make the pitches unsafe, and with the travel conditions expected to be pretty rough too, it’s the safest call for everyone involved.

Enjoy the unexpected day off, stay warm and safe, and we’ll see everyone back at training on Wednesday.

Massive thank you to all involved - Well Done everyone 😎

❤️💙 FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS… THANK YOU. 💙❤️

What a few weeks it has been! And now that the Cash for Kids Sports Challenge has come to an end, we wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who supported Irvine Rugby Football Club throughout the challenge. 🥹👏

As one of the selected finalists, we are absolutely delighted to announce that IRFC finished 5th in the challenge, raising OVER £5,000! 🤯🙌

And as if raising that incredible amount wasn’t enough… we also won £500 for the club! 🏆💰

From donations, fundraising events and challenges, to everyone who shared posts, bought tickets, sponsored something, donated prizes, took part, cheered us on or simply encouraged us along the way, every single bit of support has made a difference.

You helped us raise an incredible amount of money for a brilliant cause, and you reminded us once again what can happen when a community comes together.

We’ve had push-ups, running, walking, rugby challenges, waxing, raffles, kids’ challenges … but it has all been worth it knowing that the money raised will help Cash for Kids support children and young people across our community.

We are incredibly proud of what our club has achieved. 💙❤️

Thank you to every single person who played a part. ❤️

Irvine Rugby Football Club what a team! 🏉🙌

🏉🍂 OCTOBER BREAK – NO TRAINING! 🍂🏉

Just a wee reminder to all our players and parents that there will be NO training on Wednesday 14th October due to the school October half-term break.

It’s time for our players to enjoy a well-earned midweek break, while our coaches get the chance to put their feet up, recharge the batteries 🔋… or perhaps come up with some fresh ideas and new session plans for when we’re back! 😉🏉

Enjoy the break, everyone! Have fun, stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all back on the pitch soon, refreshed and ready for more rugby! 💙🏉

CRACKING day away at Paisley Rugby Football Club 🙌🙌 Well Done to all of our kids, parents and coaches for showing up - little bit of sun makes it all better ☀️

Coach Wendy P1-3
We had a squad of six Micros who travelled to Paisley and played against a team made up of Paisley and Cumbernauld players. Irvine Micros were fast and sleek today with super passing, running and trys. A fantastic morning and some great action from our players.
POTM - Jack Carlin who volunteered to keep an eye out for our newest P1 players- an excellent role model!

Coach Euan P4-5
Everyone showed up and got stuck in today. We’re gradually seeing more tackles and passes happening each week. This week was no exception. Good passing, excellent defending, not letting Paisley see much light of day.
POTM - Lauchlin, ran is heart out today, scored well with his fair share of tackles.

Coach Cooney P6-7
Our P6/7 group were invited along to Paisley today to play against them and Cumbernauld. First up were Cumbernauld and we came out the blocks quick today, some nice team play to score some well worked tries and capitalised on some loose passing from Cumbernauld to scoop the ball up and turn them into tries. We then played against a more physical team in Paisley, started slow in the game but by the end we were in full flow, some crunching tackles and brilliant solo runs for tries.
Overall a very good performance from every player today, POTM - our captain for the day Joey. Always there in support and made some try saving tackles.

Enjoy your week off and see you all next Sunday for some training.
