He’s developed some superb lines and movement in his backswing through hard work, but was occasionally seeing too much inconsistency on start line and shape. We introduced some simple drill work to improve activation through his footwork and chest, keeping the big muscles in control and the hands more passive.

A good example of how improving rotation and sequencing can clean up impact factors and ball flight without over thinking technique.

Here’s what to expect within a coaching session with me…

In this session with we worked on wedge and full swing technique, making necessary changes to improve strike, distance control, and more robust movements.

We then introduced a Trackman test to link technique to performance, focusing on hitting specific carry numbers from 30-100 yards, so practice directly relates to on-course play.

Technique and performance coaching combined with all Trackman data sent after the session for clear, measurable progress.

I am participating in the Isle of Wight ultra marathon for Crohn’s & Colitis UK running 106km (65 miles) in one day. Any shares and donations would be greatly appreciated!!

I am raising money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK, as many people close to me have suffered from the debilitating condition. I have seen firsthand how it can impact sufferers’ daily lives, and there is currently no cure.

Historically, there has been a lack of research into the cause and symptom management of these conditions. Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence. Further, the process of getting a diagnosis can be challenging and invasive.

Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. And the real number could be almost double that.

Not -2 bad…. Course was in tremendous condition and thanks to all organising committees for a well run tournament.

Finally after COVID-19, the professional tournament season has begun. Yesterday I played in the PGA Assistant’s Regional Qualifier at Cowglen Golf Club. First tournament since 2019 and first as a professional so happy to qualify despite rusty wedge play. Thanks for the support Elderslie Golf Shop and Elderslie Golf Club. Look forward to the the Final at Farleigh Golf Club in July.
