🗞️ It was a fantastic 8-0 win for our ladies yesterday!

So a hastily arranged friendly saw us take on Whitehaven Devs. We started well and despite numerous chances, it wasn't until 25 mins when Aimee charged down a back pass and beat the keeper to the ball to put us 1-nil up.
Two mins later we where 3-nil up, Aimee completing her hat trick after going on a mazy run beating three defenders and the keeper.
Poppy then netted a fourth, and from Nic's in-swinging corner, Tilda was on hand to put us 5-nil up on half time.
I told the girls to stay focused and keep going. Great fast passing between Nic and Poppy saw Aimee one-on-one with the keeper, and there was only one outcome - 6-nil on 47 mins.
We made a few subs and changed out front three around, as well as midfield, and we kept Whitehaven at arms length while creating a lot of chances.
We brought Aimee back on, and within 30 secs, a quick one-two with Nic saw the latter go racing through, but keeper forced her wide. Nic kept her composure and picked out a great cross for Aimee to nod home our seventh, then she saved her best till last, bursting through the back line and striking a great shot from 20 yards.
Whitehaven had a few late chances, but found the returning Erin in great form between the sticks.
Great debuts from Ceejay and Faith today, and Tilda and Ruby both impressed, but Aimee proved what a class act she is. Despite being ill, she still managed to score SIX!
