What a fantastic session our Arrows had this evening! 🎯

We were treated to a visit from professional darts player David Pallett, who gave us a mini master class. David shared his top tips and even gave a few members some one-to-one time. Thank you, David!

David and his team are starting up the The Kettering Darts Academy, with their opening night this coming Thursday. If your child is interested in darts and would like to join, do pop along to the open event this Thursday (29th October) at Burton Latimer Band Club 6pm.

🎯 A VERY EXCITING TREAT FOR THE ARROWS THIS MONDAY! 🎯

First of all, a massive well done to everyone who achieved such amazing things last night! We love seeing your hard work, progress and confidence growing week after week! ❤️👏

And now for some exciting news… we have a very special visitor joining us this Monday!

We are delighted to welcome David Pallett, professional darts player who competes in both Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and World Darts Federation (WDF) events! 🎯🔥

David is opening The Kettering Darts Academy, locally and wanted to pop along to meet our amazing young players, share some tips and even offer a little coaching!

What a fantastic opportunity for our Arrows to learn from a professional player, pick up some new skills and, of course, ask him all those burning darts questions! 🤩

Let’s make sure we give David the warmest Kettering Arrows welcome! ❤️🏹

🏆🎯 Tonight, we celebrated a truly incredible milestone for Charles. 🥹❤️

Charles joined Kettering Arrows a year ago and, at first, could only manage come and stay for the final 30 minutes of each session. Proudly supported by his mum, dad and sister, he found it difficult to speak with me, Wayne or our volunteers, and initially chose to play only alongside one of his parents.

We also provided Charles with a “safe board”, closing the board next to him so that nobody would be too close and he could enjoy his own safe space.

Over the past few weeks, we began to notice small but incredibly meaningful steps forward. Charles no longer needed to request a safe board, and he started approaching the oche with a little more confidence without a parent beside him.

Then, last week, Dad briefly stepped out to grab a drink, and Charles was left happily throwing darts at the oche on his own. We couldn’t believe our eyes! 🎯

And tonight, it got even better.

Charles stayed for the ENTIRE session, engaged in conversations with our volunteers, achieved both his Bronze and Silver Pathway Awards, and even let us take his photo! 🏆📸

We feel incredibly emotional and proud of this huge milestone. Charles’s wonderful parents have continued to bring him each week, showing endless support, patience and dedication. Their commitment, alongside Charles’s own perseverance, has truly paid off.

Charles, you are an absolute superstar, and we couldn’t be prouder of you! ⭐❤️ We hope you love your extra little achievement T shirt! 👕

A HUGE WELL DONE TO TOMMY! 🎯

Tommy has been part of Kettering Arrows for over a year now, and although he proudly took home our 100% Attendance Award at our recent awards night, he’s been finding it a little trickier to meet the same expectations at school.

So, we decided to set him a challenge! 💪

🎯 The challenge: 100% school attendance until October half term.

🎁 The reward: A gift card of his choice!

Now, we aren’t usually ones to encourage a little bit of bribery 😂, but we are big believers in setting achievable goals, celebrating progress and finding the right motivation to help our young people succeed.

And guess what? TOMMY DID IT! 🥳🙌

Tommy, you should be incredibly proud of yourself. You set a goal, put in the effort and proved to yourself that you could achieve it. That’s what it’s all about! ❤️

We’re super proud of you, and we’re sure your school is too! 👏
