Nutrition doesn't have to be complicated. But it does help to have someone in your corner who can cut through the noise and tell you what actually works for you.

That's exactly what our nutrition coaching at EPT Lab is about. It starts with a conversation — about where you're at, what you've tried before, and what you actually want to achieve. From there we build a plan around your life, your goals, and what's realistic for you.

No extreme diets. No cutting out the foods you enjoy. Just practical, sustainable guidance that moves you forward.

Open to members and non members. In person in Kibworth or virtually if you're not local.

Progress is not just a number on the scale.

Most people measure their results in one way — and when that number doesn't move fast enough, they assume nothing is working. So they change their diet, switch their programme, or give up entirely. And the cycle starts again.

But the scale doesn't measure how much stronger you've got. It doesn't measure better sleep, more energy, or the confidence that comes from showing up consistently and doing something genuinely hard. It doesn't measure the fact that your clothes fit differently, or that you're keeping up with your life in a way you weren't six months ago.

Real progress is happening in all of those places — whether the scale reflects it or not.

Swipe to see what progress actually looks like.

Strong. Capable. Confident.

This is what training at EPT Lab looks like. Everyday women showing up, putting in the work, and building bodies that are stronger, healthier, and more capable than they were before.

Not because they have to. Because they chose to.

Getting older doesn't mean slowing down. It doesn't mean accepting less energy, less strength, or less confidence. It means having the right support around you to make sure the best years aren't behind you — they're ahead.

These women aren't professional athletes. They're busy, real people with full lives who decided that their health and fitness wasn't something they were willing to compromise on any longer.

And that decision changed everything.

If you're ready to feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in your own body — we're here to support you.

Everyone talks about strength training for weight loss. Almost nobody talks about what it’s actually doing for your bones, your brain, and your body during menopause.

We’re talking bone density that starts declining in your 30s (and why most women don’t find out until it’s too late). Muscle as your metabolic engine — even at rest. What actually happens to your body during perimenopause, and why lifting is one of the few things that pushes back.

Plus the stuff you won’t find in a clinical study: the confidence of knowing your body can handle whatever the day throws at it. And having one hour a week that belongs to you.

One of our clients went from zero pull-ups to nine — at 61. Her story is in the article too.

Cable tricep pushdowns are one of those exercises that looks simple but is rarely done well.

Here’s what to look out for.

The mistakes I see again and again are rushing the movement and losing control, letting the arms swing wide rather than staying close to the body, and allowing the elbows to travel back behind the body at the top of the rep.

Done correctly, the pace is controlled throughout. The upper arms stay fixed at the sides — the only movement happening is at the elbow, pressing down. With a rope attachment the hands flare out slightly at the bottom, but the movement stays clean and deliberate from start to finish.

Get the technique right and the triceps are actually doing the work. And that’s what produces results over time.

This is the kind of detail that makes the difference between a session that looks productive and one that actually is.
