🔴⚫️ PRE SEASON FRIENDLY ⚽️

The Blacks were away to Troon this morning at Marr College and what a performance they put on. A pleasure to watch for 70 minutes and a Saturday morning well spent.

The boys worked hard, passed the ball well and dominated the first half. A few good goals scored which came from excellent football.

It was more of the same in the 2nd half. A small spell of panicking led to some wild passing but they managed to get through it and settle back in to their best. A great performance all round.

Big thanks to Troon FC 2014 for hosting and best of luck for the upcoming season.

Coaches Man of the match - Kai 🏆

Kai was solid at the back today stopping anything that came down the right side. He remained composed, dealt with every issue and kept the danger away. Well done Kai.

Players POTM - Ollie 🏅

Yes, you read that right, Ollie's name again! Another superb performance. Hard tackles, excellent in the air and a great couple of goals. Well done Ollie.

It was a great afternoon for the boys at the Glenafton tournament with games against Annan Athletic 2014, Irvine Meadow 2014s, Glenafton Athletic 2014 and KFA 2014s - Blues.

There was some great teamwork on display throughout and the boys were rewarded for their efforts, winning all 5 of their games, without conceding a single goal.

Today’s goal scorers were;

Riley ⚽️
Aaron ⚽️
Ollie ⚽️⚽️
Logan ⚽️⚽️

Thanks to all of the parents (and grandparents) who turned up to support the team, and feed the masses 😆

Of course, huge thanks goes to Glenafton for hosting 🤝 we wish you all the best in the transition to 11s.

A glorious morning at Lindsay Park as the Blacks faced Crosshouse. Previous matches have always gone to the wire and today was no different.

Crosshouse were quick out the stalls this morning, playing great football and creating chance after chance. It took our boys a bit longer to get started so we were up against it for the majority of the first half. We managed to settle in eventually and you just knew it was going to be a great battle.

After the break we had fully settled in and what a second half of football that was, "blink and you’ll miss it" football. The boys dug in right up until the very end. Very, very proud of the performance they put in today. Well done every single one of you.

Big thanks to Crosshouse Community FC 2014s for hosting our last 9s game. It's always an exciting fixture and they are a great bunch of boys.

Coaches MOTM - Logan 🏆

Logan battled hard all game, winning the vital tackles and controlling things in the centre of the park. That boy just doesn't stop running! Well done Logan.

It was a tough call for the coaches today as every one of the boys would have been a worthy winner.

Players POTM - Abdul 🏅

Abdul played the 2nd half in goals, didn't let anything past him, made all the right decisions and kept full control of his box. Well done Abdul 🧤

The boys were away to Kilwinning Rangers 2014s this morning in what was a tough, tough game. We started really well and dominated for most of the first half, creating a few chances but just couldn't put the ball in the net and you could see the boys getting frustrated with themselves.

Kilwinning came out swinging in the 2nd half and very quickly got their reward. This gave our boys the motivation to get themselves back in the game and from then on it really was end to end stuff. A very fair draw in the end.

The boys came off dissapointed with themselves and I'm sure Kilwinning will be the same, it really could have went either way. Both teams should be very proud of the fight they put in to try and get over the line.

Big thanks to Kilwinning for hosting this morning and best of luck with the rest of the games this season.

Coaches MOTM - Rory 🏆

Rory was great at the back today. Didn't let anything past him and won every 50/50. Cool, calm and composed all the way through. Well done Rory.

Players POTM - Ollie 🏅

A name we see often in these posts, Ollie was a stand out again today with his fight and determination. First to every ball and absolutely refuses to lose in a tackle. Got himself a goal simply from not giving up today. Well done Ollie.
