Leeds Beckett Darts Society

As the 2024/25 season comes to a close with the national challenge cup and varsity trophy’s coming back with us to Woodhouse, we would like to extend a thank you to the two people who made it all happen, Riley and Cal.

Two years ago Riley formed this society, and he leaves it with 2 varsity wins, a roses cup win and a national challenge cup, not bad for a 2 year old society. Along with that we’ve gone from barely being able to field an A team to having 3 high quality teams playing every week, along with an ever-growing women’s team. None of us would be here if it wasn’t for Riley, and he leaves behind a legacy he can be proud of.

Cal is also an og LBU darts player, and has always gone above and beyond for the society. First year he was our social media admin in which he was a key part in helping the society grow and was a little more active on the socials than me. This year he stepped up to being the vice president and the A team captain, where he has worked tirelessly to help the society, despite some of the performances at the oche ;). Cals played a key part in both varsity’s, winning his game in the first year 7-0 thrashing and winning the all important captains bull off this year.

Thanks a ton to both of you lads, and your always welcome back whenever you find yourself in leeds

We head to our old friends for a friendly before the season starts.

President Riley is bringing an experimental squad with a mix of experience amongst the players.

Tomorrow also sees 4 new debutants for beckett, a good chance for the new players to get into a squad in a league game!

Our new captains have picked their first teams of the season to face each other in our inter-squad fixtures to start the season!

Today is also a chance for some of the players who impressed at our freshers sessions to have their first game, with 7 debutants across the 3 teams!

makes a strong start to the LBU Prem as he wins both nights this week (shock)

and carry on there good form from the end of last season as they take 2nd and 3rd on the table.

🚨LEAGUE FIXTURE ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Our league fixtures for the first half of the season have been released!

We start the season with an in house games between our A’s, B’s and C’s, we then have our first away day of the season against York, before hosting the 2 Sheffield unis and then finally a trip to our varsity rivals uni of Leeds.

We also have our round 1 fixture in the inaugural UDUK cup on October 23rd!
