Men’s Charity Match ⚽️

Rangers Athletic 2–1 Halifax Friendly FC Belles belles

Another friendly against strong opposition as we continue to build our fitness and prepare for the new season.

New captain, Ashley Ibbitson , led the line as we travelled to Dewsbury. After a slow start, we found ourselves 1–0 down inside the opening 15 minutes. Special mention to the Rangers centre-back, who made a fantastic goal-line clearance following an effort from Ashley Ibbitson

We made some changes, with Jess💫 causing problems with her quick feet and excellent crossing. The Rangers keeper made several good saves to keep us at bay, while Kiki hit the woodwork and debutant impressed with some really good football.

Another debut followed as Izzy came on at right-back, making her first appearance after a long spell out.

Rangers extended their lead to 2–0 in the third quarter following a lapse in concentration and a fine finish. However, the Belles continued to create chances and play some good football, with Kate Roberts dictating the play from midfield.

We pushed hard in the final quarter, with Natalie Simpson hitting the crossbar and the Rangers keeper making several more fine saves. Eventually, we pulled one back through a really well-worked goal from the team before Kiki Milsom found the net to make it 2–1.

Despite the result, there were plenty of positives to take from another competitive friendly as we continue our preparations for the new season. 💪⚽

Battle of the Belles with Halifax Friendly FC Belles winning 2 - nil in a tough, competitive match!

The Belles created good pockets of play with their passing and movement, creating their own luck and digging in defensively! A sharp finish in the top corner just before the end of the first quarter and a wonderful effort from the corner in the last quarter, gave the visitors the victory!

Another brilliant evening at our Women’s Turn Up & Play session, with this week’s game finishing 1-1 after a dramatic last-minute equaliser! 😍

A fantastic game, plenty of effort, lots of laughs and another great turnout. Most importantly, it’s brilliant seeing more women getting involved and enjoying football together. 💙

⚽️ ASSISTANT FOOTBALL MANAGER OPPORTUNITY ⚽️

Halifax Friendly FC Belles are looking for a positive, organised and supportive individual to join our team as Assistant Manager.

This is not a coaching role. You’ll work alongside the Team Manager and Coach, helping with player communication, team organisation, matchdays and creating a positive, welcoming environment for everyone.

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, approachable and passionate about supporting women’s grassroots football. Previous football experience would be beneficial but coaching qualifications are not required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role within the team, support our players and help shape a positive team culture.
