Leicester Lions are delighted to welcome Dan Tomanek to the club as Player-Coach and Fly-Half ahead of the upcoming season.

Joining from Tonbridge Wells RFC, Dan arrives excited by the opportunity to contribute both on the pitch and within the coaching team as the Lions prepare for an exciting National 2 campaign.

🗣️“As soon as the club offered me the opportunity to join Leicester Lions, it was something I immediately wanted to do. I’m looking forward to testing myself as a player at National 2 level while also developing as a coach. I can’t wait to link up with the boys and get started on what should be an exciting season ahead.”

After four years at Leicester Lions, Forwards Coach George Richardson will be departing the club.

🗣️George said:
“I have had an incredible time at Leicester Lions over the last 4 years whilst spending 3 of those years in national 1. I’ve worked with some incredibly talented players and coaches but the special thing for me about Lions is the family club ethos. Although I’m moving on, Leicester Lions will always have a special place in my heart and I look forward to see the club going from strength to strength under the hands of Tom and Arron.”

We’re delighted to welcome Arron Skyrme to Leicester Lions as our new Forwards Coach ahead of the upcoming season.

Arron joins us from Coventry Rugby where he is Junior Academy Manager, bringing a wealth of experience from his time with Nuneaton, Wasps, Worcester Warriors, Bath and Warwick School.

With a strong background across both playing and coaching, we’re excited to see the impact he’ll bring to the squad.

It’s an exciting time to join the club and be part of a new project. With the strong core of players the club has retained, along with new additions coming in, there’s a lot to look forward to.
