3 new retro saddles have appeared over the last few days. Firstly the previously seen seafoam green ROLLS (1987) made a debut, followed today by a white TURBO (2018 REPOP) and a black ROLLS (1994). A few people have taken custody of the last lot of saddles but I've a feeling at least one of these will be staying with me....

One SIMPLON TANGE mystery Austrian model retro bike 99% done! Why only 99%? Because as pretty as the saddle is it's unfortunately past it's best with a scrappy cover and dodgy rails SO I have on order a more fitting and, erm, pinker saddle to grace it. A very pink, very saddle-y saddle. So for now she sits as is until the last jigsaw piece lands...and it's going to be up for sale next week as soon as it's finished so watch this space...

I must stop buying bikes
I must stop buying bikes
I must stop buying .........

Well whilst the KHS is still in surgery for the stuck post (nearly dissolved out) I just had to have something to work on so this fitted the bill. It ticks the unusual box alright, early research shows it's possibly an early SIMPLON SPECTRUM as this was the Austrian brands TANGE frame from the very early 90s. Hard to pin down a date or exact model online so if there's any obscure small Austrian 90s brand MTB experts out there I'm all ears .... 😎

Quite a way off for this one, got the dreaded seat post issue that plagues us retro builders 😕...

I suppose I needed a bike to hang the cosmic trail bag on and it looks like this one fits the bill! Pink and green flashes on both work their magic in true late 80s style..

TOWNSEND HEDGEHOPPER!

Marmite bike time. This local collection for myself as a winter hack bike has really won a place in my heart. A quick tyre change to something more age appropriate and a few test spots for cleaning and I've already plans involving green ODI grip and a certain cosmic trail bag! After the winter all I have to do is weight it in at the yard to get my money back 😂...

Yes I know, another saddle post. Still N+7 on the retro saddles even after moving a few on but then this shows up! Green/blue or blue/green whichever way you like but in reality a beautifully worn, tear free, corners intact faded leather SAN MARCO ROLLS 1987 to add to the supposedly shrinking collection ... 💙 💚
