Today we launched our Future Star of the Week award, presented each week to the player who was, for example, perhaps the standout player, or worked particularly hard in the session, showed great sportsmanship, demonstrated a fantastic attitude, or simply did something the coaches feel deserves to be recognised.

So please congratulate our first winner, River who was selected by the coaches for working hard, listening to the coaches and be being fully engaged in the session.

Well done River - well deserved.

Our wheelchair section will again features two teams in the National League.

LBC 1 will compete in BWB division 2 north, LBC 2 will compete in BWB division 3 north.

We also have teams in BWB Inspire a Generation (IAG) league and UKWB development league.

We are pleased to announce two new players who have joined us this season.

No. 7 Cat Yearron from Lancaster
and No. 14 Becca Pearson from Manchester.

Both are 1.5 point classification making them guards on court. Both are very quick and defend well. In offence they create great opportunities for our forwards.

Our season gets underway this Saturday with LBC 1 v Wakefield Whirlwinds, 1pm tip. Spectators welcome and of course, as always, it’s FREE entry.
