Founded in 1807, Liverpool Cricket Club is the oldest amateur sporting establishment in Merseyside. As well as cricket, we also have excellent squash, tennis. hockey, bowls, lacrosse and rugby facilities that are available to all members. Away from the sporting arena, there are 3 very popular function rooms that are available for hire all year round for private parties, funerals, birthday celebrations, christenings and wedding receptions. You can hire our function room or why not wow your guests by hiring our wonderful wedding marquee, this is an ideal location with a perfect backdrop.

On an afternoon when the weather was kind to our bowlers, the annual Burtonwood Shield took place on the main green on 3rd September. The competition is open to all bowlers over the age of 55.

As usual, the atmosphere on the day was friendly yet competitive and everyone stayed to watch the final between two previous winners of the Burtonwood, John Breen and Billy Jones.

In a game that was notable for the high standard of play, Billy managed to edge out John to reclaim the trophy from last year's champion, Rob Hewitt.

We’ve now upgraded the TVs across the club, including two brand-new 65" TVs in the 1925 Lounge and Sue Newton Lounge.

With our upgraded Sky package, members & visitors can now enjoy crystal-clear HD picture quality throughout the club.

A huge thank you to the Rugby Section for their generous donation of the 1925 Lounge TV.

And there’s more to come, with speakers planned for the Sue Newton Lounge to enhance the live sports experience even further!

This is part of our ongoing investment in the club and our commitment to improving facilities and experiences for members & visitors.

We hope you enjoy the upgrades when you come down to watch the football! 🫶
