Our lifter of the month for March is our legendary Daniela Piaia who has been with us a long time and despite a broken ankle (not from weightlifting!), she has worked hard and persisted back to PB shape!!!

We had a huge amount of votes this month for legendary lifter following his big performance snatching 70kg on the competition platform!

January's voted athlete of the month is our club legend and national level athlete - recently competing at the English Championships and at Mems hitting platform PBs in sn and cj!

Scott brings insane amounts of club energy and support to the members - giving an inclusive and welcome atmosphere despite working long hours himself!

Welcome to our new coach who will be leading our Big Saturdays! We are lucky to have a coach and athlete with so much experience!

Coaching Experience: Reza has been involved in sports since he was 11 years old and has accumulated over 8 years of coaching experience. His most notable achievement is coaching the youth/junior team in Ardabil, leading them to become national champions. Reza has also had the privilege of learning from some of the best coaches in the world, having been mentored by four Olympic champions over a span of 15 years.

Weightlifting Experience: Reza boasts extensive experience in weightlifting. He was a member of the national team for 5 years and has won numerous prestigious titles. His achievements include 2x youth, 2x junior, and 5x senior gold medals in Iran, as well as a bronze team medal at the Asian Club Championships. Additionally, Reza has earned titles as both English and British champion and holds the Clean & Jerk and total records, which he aspires to surpass in the future.
